  • Made hours go by like minutes
I bought these for a family car trip we just got back from, which had us traveling by car some every day for 5 days. The first and the last days were the longest, being in the car for at least 4 hours each day. I didn't pull them out until the ride home, and I had no idea what a hit these would be. It started out with myself and my kids playing (twin 12 year olds). Within minutes my husband (who had started out the drive that day in a tried, somewhat grouchy mood) was wanting to play, even though he was the one driving! Being that the object of the game is to find things on/in passing cars/buildings and such, he was able to do so. His bad mood about city traffic and hot weather gradually turned into laughing and fun competitiveness in the game. We changed up the rules a little each time which also was fun. Instead of each person holding 5 cards, we made it 3. This made it so the driver could play, since he could easily just remember the objects on his 3 cards, instead of trying to look and remember what was on 5 cards. Also we changed up the rules so that we just played until a time limit was reached, instead of just until someone had a certain number of discarded cards. This made each game last longer, which was fun. After a few rounds, we discovered two hours of our four hour drive had passed, and it seemed like we had just started the trip. So instead of a car full of kids fighting in the back seat and a grouchy husband, irritated by traffic and a week cramped in hotels with the kids, we were all in a good mood, laughing and even cracking jokes about the game the rest of the way home. Objects that were impossible to find while playing the game, we would see hours later and all laugh about how NOW we find it, when we didn't need to. This game is a must have for family car trips. It says it's for kids, but the adults will have fum playing it too! ... show more

  • The BEST car travel game ever!
We were going on a 6 hour car ride with my 89yr old Mother in Law and 9 yr old Granddaughter. My husband, the driver was the decider if we all didn't see what was on the card. The 3 of us played for hours. Some cards challenging and others were easier. After we returned home, yes played on way home, we made up about 20 more that we will make our own cards for future trips. We laughed for a few days on our vacation, yelling out "Stop sign"! "Blue house!". Good job making a fun game for all ages. ... show more

  • Travel games. Scavenger hunt
This is a great activity for the kids on car rides. Keeps the “are we there yets” further apart. Ages 7 and up. Perfect for my grands!

  • Kids occupied for hours on the road
My 7-year old son gets motion sickness and can't watch tablets or read on road trips. This game was perfect for him and kept him occupied for hours on the road. I would highly recommend for elementary-aged kids.

  • Fun for all ages
I’ve had this for years and my son still asks to play it in the car! It’s great to always have ready for the kids in the back seat. Fun for everyone and a staple for us! I’ve gifted it to my 3 year old niece as well.

  • Great way to pass the time
My grandkids played during a long car ride. They enjoyed it. Ages 10 & 12.

  • Kept the kids occupied for a few minutes
We bought these as a road trip gift for the kids. It kept them occupied for a few minutes but there aren't very many cards and some are very oddly specific, depending on the type of trip you are on. E.g. "a woman with orange hair"

  • Make up your own rules if the game doesn't fit!
We bought this game to play with our 7 year old niece on a 9 hour drive for a family vacation. We played MANY times on our trip! We did adapt the rules a bit, one of the new rules being that you could redraw one card for every 5 dealt (we usually just played with 5) in case you got an item that we weren't likely to see. For example, you don't see a lot of people walking their dogs along the interstate. This introduced a whole new element of bargaining and switching/stealing cards with other players. So, if you use this game as a foundation and adopt to your situation, I think you can spend hours (hours!) playing. I also printed up some fake money (which we called carrency) that could be collected with each win and cashed in later on the trip for a souvenir or prize from the prize bag. The cards were nicely done, and stood up to many a drop between seats and crumby fingers (and one milk spill). It's funny how often we all noticed yellow cars or cars with the letter "z" in their license plate even days into our vacation when we weren't playing the game! Game was a hit and we were left with lots of laughs and a car ride that didn't seem so long. Exactly what we were hoping. ... show more
