  • STAGE 3 SPECIFICS: The Stage 3 V2 camshaft is an amazing all around grind for the truck enthusiast. You sacrifice some low end torque in the pursuit of more power higher in the RPM range, but gain an idle note that is distinctly BTR! Stage 3 grind, it is still a tow-friendly camshaft, just not ideal for the everyday hauler. Description

These camshafts have a 3-bolt timing gear pattern. Brian Tooley Racing's Truck Cam Kits are an excellent selection for GM trucks and SUVs equipped with 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, or 6.2L engines. These camshafts are designed to increase power without sacrificing low-end torque and are great choice for heavier vehicles such as Silverado, Sierra, Yukon, Tahoe, Suburban, Escalade, etc. Brian Tooley Racing's truck cams were designed with low lift so BTR's standard beehive springs and OE pushrods can be used, making these the most affordable truck cams available. The stage III cam has a noticeable cam sound that so many are looking for. It will make even more average torque than the stage II cam, at the sacrifice of some low end torque and fuel mileage. This cam will work with the stock converter in some trucks, but it is recommended to install a 2800-3000 RPM stall converter for best overall performance. The media could not be loaded. I installed this in my 2000 Silverado with a 5.3L v8. It gave me more horsepower with the DynoTune and supporting parts like 3200 stall, long tube headers etc. It sounds amazing. I use it in my daily driving truck. It has a nice chopping sound. If you want the loudest sound of this cam use it without cats, they bring down sound level a bit but still sounds awesome. Or you can also use electric cutouts to have it loud and quieter when ever you decide! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Can’t Complain About Anything, Great Cam. Package was expected June 26th-30th and arrived early on the 25th! Product was not damaged and was packaged nicely. If you're looking for a daily cam, this is it. To all the Cuhs, Takuaches, and LS Enthusiasts this is it. Make sure you get a tune and a 2800+ Stall for this specific cam though. 10/10 "Chop" Mind you, this will definitely affect your 4.8 5.3 or 6.0 Gas mileage. But, imagine those buying a stage 3 cam don't really care for MPG; Rather the Smiles per Gallon :). ... show more
