i've struggled with hirsutism thanks to pcos ever since high school. i have hair growth on my cheeks, neck, and upper lip. left unmanaged, i could grow a beard that rivals my brother's lol. i've tried basically every single at-home hair removal technique under the sun, but have always dealt with a 5-o-clock shadow within hours. epilating with braun has been an absolute game changer for me. i bought a braun silk epil 9 about a year ago and found that it often times missed some hairs and left a bit of stubble i wasn't fond of. it worked well enough, but i always had to clean up the leftover bits with a razor. still, what the silk epil 9 did pick up was left very smooth and the regrowth came back much finer and thinner! after years of the hair always being very thick and coarse, it was such a huge difference! so i stuck with this routine for about a year. on a whim, i decided to purchase the facespa pro 910 after seeing that it can catch hair as short as 0.02mm compared to the silk epil 9's 0.05mm and have gotten much, much better results! for my routine, i always take a hot shower and exfoliate my face first. then i dry my face with a towel (i've found that it doesn't pick up as well when my skin is still wet) and use the silk epil 9 for the initial tweezing. then, i use the facespa pro 910 to clean up what the silk epil 9 may have missed considering it's much more precise. this process between the two epilators usually takes about 30-45 mins. it leaves my skin feeling so incredibly smooth, i don't have to use the razor anymore! i do this process ever 3-4 days and have not had a problem yet. to address some concerns, i see a lot of people complain about in-grown hairs. despite being prone to in-grown hairs due to curly hair, i've only had maybe 3 of them ever since i started epilating. i use an in-grown hair solution every single time after i epilate (tendskin is what i personally use! it burns when you put it on, but it really helps) and i believe it has prevented so many potential in-grown hairs that would have sprouted without it. also, regarding pain, when i first started epilating with the silk epil 9 it did kinda hurt at first but not really since i normally tweezed anyways and was used to it. as i continued, it didn't hurt at all anymore. it almost feels more like a massage now lol. when i introduced the facespa pro 910, i also *mostly* didn't feel any pain. however, this was the first time i epilated my upper lip. it felt excruciating when i used it there. my tip for that is to take as many breaks as you need! it took me about 30 minutes just for my upper lip the first time lol. but it got much much better as time progressed. it's still a little painful after about 3 sessions, but not nearly as bad as it was. ... show more

This is the best facial hair removal EVER! I've used it about 10 times and I am still impressed with the removal of hair on my upper lip! I'm dark complexion and it really grabs the fine hairs. Yes, there is a stinging sensation, but it's nothing like the burn from a facial wax! The gadget is easy to use and clean! Ladies, it's about the size of a toothbrush so it can easily fit in purse! I have fought chin hairs from an early age. Years of tweezing and waxing finally gave way to shaving in my 60's. I had given up hope of ever having a smooth chin and face again. Then, I took a chance on this wonderful, wonderful epilator. It is great! Yes, great. Sure, there's a little tug here and there, but the end result is the smoothest face I've ever had. This saves me so much time in getting those white soft fuzzy. Also for coarse hairs as well. Gave it 4 stars because it tends to miss some hairs and you need to go over an area several times.

This is not a razor. It does not create stubble. It is a battery tweezer that is so much more efficient than and easier than tweezing by hand. My skin is super sensitive and it does not irritate me at all. I do small areas of fine facial hair at a time. I did the first small area a couple weeks ago and nothing has grown back yet. I know it will, but I am not worried that it will be thicker than before. If you have annoying peach fuzz that shows in sunlight and makes you self concious, this is for you. I normally have to get my husband to pluck my chin and neck hairs, because he can see them better that I can. The problem is, he’s not always around when I’m getting ready. I don’t want to use shavers or depilatory creams on that area, so I searched for an alternative solution. I had never heard of epilators before, but I was willing to give it a try. This little gadget makes the job so easy! The only issue is that it usually leaves a couple of hairs behind. I think some hairs are just super thin, and it can’t grab them no matter how many times you go over them. Not a huge deal; it’s pretty easy to get those with tweezers. Overall, I really like this epilator. In fact, I bought a second one for my sister. I haven’t used the brush attachment yet, but I love that it’s included. ... show more

    • A little ouchie, but it works!
I'm still getting a hang of it and did manage to pinch some skin. Trying to figure out when hair is too short/long/thick etc to be caught properly by it, but wow! This works so much better than manually tweezing the too-many-misplaced-hairs one of my medications produces (and I think it can hurt less so long as you don't pinch your skin by accident). I had tried electric shaving but it missed too many and brought them back too quickly. I managed to catch more hair than usual by using it for a few days as the recently-removed hairs grew back in and didn't even need it on the day I was set to attend a family gathering, masked indoors but without a mask outdoors and my chin was nice and smooth without my feeling awkward. (I'm still not used to having anything but peach fuzz grow there and not a fan!) ... show more
