I own a number of beard trimming devices. Most use trimmer guides that snap on and off. They’re a nuisance, sometimes popping off and they don’t offer an exact and precise trim. I have some with a head that can be pushed up or down as an adjustment which is an improvement. However they tend to loosen up over time and lose accuracy. This unit has a precise dial. You can vary the setting to the various areas of your beard and come away well groomed as if a professional barber had created just the beard look you had requested. I bought this razor for my beard. It has several height settings by the turn of a wheel. It’s very convenient and easy to use. My beard is cut at a three and looks great. Highly recommend.

Used it twice, so far, and it does a good job. I had another brand that I had purchased 6 months before. It stop cuutting my beard and started pulling. So this is why I purchsed the Braun. I like the dial, instead of different combs. I started at a 10 and moved to a 5. It provides a clean trim. It does not shave smooth, and I did not expect it to. Without the comb on, the beard can be cut short enough to use a razor. Have not used the other attachments. Came with a standard charger (not usb I saw in other review). ... show more

I wish I could have returned it after I bought it. The idea is great, but in practice the product just doesn’t work well. While the blade is sharp, and the battery life is long, the attachment piece is useless. It constantly disconnects meaning you have an uneven trim. I would love to trade this for something with a multiplicity of pieces so I can be sure I’m cutting properly. ... show more

I bought this trimmer because I had an older braun trimmer that worked great for a few years until the battery stopped holding and the cheap plastic internal pieces broke. This trimmer is really poorly designed. It trims well, but apart from that this is a joke. The power button is really hard to push. There is no battery indicator to tell you if the battery is charged or not, you just have to plug it in and keep it plugged in overnight (10-12 hours according to the manual). Lastly, the power cable end that goes into the trimmer is a thin, toothpick size piece of metal that could be damaged really easily. The designers should be fired. ... show more
