A nice solid and well-built case for the money. The soft outer rubberized shell can withstand drops and abuse while the inner hard plastic shell absorbs shocks. The shoulder strap is a nice extra bonus. The swivel handhold on the back makes it very easy to comfortably position the iPad for use. The kickstand, however, works fine in the horizontal position on a hard surface by not at all in the verticle position that I use most often. It will just fall over if you so much as breathe on it in the verticle position. The screen protector is also a nice extra although it is not of the best quality. It leaves a rainbow effect over the screen. But you don't have to use it. One note on the kickstand, when pushing it back down, instead of just trying to force it back into place, depress the tab at the base of the stand and it will easily fold back down. I dinged it one star for the kickstand and the so-so screen saver. But I would not hesitate to purchase this again. I already have two of them.

First, to answer my own biggest question when I bought it: you can peel off the screen that comes attached to this cover. It was super easy, and didn't leave any residue behind. Overall, this is a great cover. Out of all the options I looked at, I would buy this one again if needed. It has held up well, and is easy for a bouncy kid to use. We love the strap, and it's so easy to clean. Complaints: The back kick stand is a joke. It doesn't hold the weight of the case plus tablet inside of it unless you set it up, and nothing bumps the table, or it at all. This means that you can't kick stand it and then tap on the screen. (Well a kid can't, I imagine an adult would be okay with it as long as they kept their tapping light.) The clips that keep the top piece of the case attached to the bottom piece of the case are tiny at the charger side of the tablet. To take it apart you have to lightly lift them up to part the plastic hook from the groove. While they give you a tool for this, the piece was made so small that it easily gets warn out and will eventually snap off. If your child uses the tablet for games like Osmo where it has to be out of the case, this will be a frustration, though one breaking does not seem to mess with the over all protection of the case.

Never sure how an off brand case is going to fit, but this was definitely made for my iPad. Not sure if I love the screen protector, you have to push with a little more purpose than I would like but it’s getting mounted on my boat for the sole purpose of being a chart plotter, so I’ll wait and see how it works when my hands are cold and wet in November before I cut it off. I suppose the big test is would I buy it again? Yeah I suppose I would.

Equal pros and cons for what I need (drawing, surfing the web, and watching movies) -- great case as long as you don't plan to take the iPad out after you install it OR want to lay your iPad flat. Pros: Fits my 7th gen ipad well, I was planning to remove the screen protector but I actually like it and left it in place, silicone is great for a little spill protection, will be good for bringing my iPad to draw on the go, and awesome for watching movies. Cons: Nightmare to install -- the instructions were INSIDE the case and not visible so I had to just guess how to open it, the text and diagrams are tiny so it wasn't very helpful anyway, all of my fingers now hurt and one of my knuckles got a small cut while prying the case open, it's so difficult to open the case that it seems like it's going to break, I missed a few specks of white dust between the screen protector & the iPad and it was even more difficult to open the case up the second time, and because of the handle on the back my iPad won't lay flat. There's not much silicone touching the actual iPad so I'm doubtful to how much protection it provides, but I'm not worried about dropping my iPad. The kickstand is good, but only has one angle and is difficult to close.
