This goose feather down Cal King sized comforter is the 5th item I own from brand BPC now; they've become both a personal and household favorite for fluffy pillows and plush comforters. So I will admit I was worried that I'd been punked when this little box arrived...what the heck, no way there's a Cal King sized feather comforter inside! Right away, it's evident this company pays attention to their customers - an extra thick cardboard guard is behind the taped seams so you can use a sharp edge to open the box without worrying about puncturing the soft blanket inside. A handy care sheet is included to cover everything you'll need to know about unpacking and laundering your new comforter. Unpacking is the fun part as it expands like a magic trick! Do plan ahead as your new blanket really needs a couple of days to finish expanding and air out; this is common for down/feather items, and something that will need to happen whenever removing from storage as well. The Comforter itself is advertised as an All-Season; living in the Desert Southwest US, this really means Winter-early spring for most sleepers. However, I run cold due to auto immune issues, so I have enjoyed using this blanket for all of May. That being said, I expect it will be too thick and warm for the >100f days that have already started. The cotton cover is sewn well with no noted loose threads, wonky seams, fabric runs, or other flaws. Bafflebox design slows down the inevitable migration of feathers from center to edges. My favorite thing about this blanket is how noiseless the cover fabric is compared to my previous synthetic "down alternative", which crunched and bunched all night like sleeping in a box of cracker crumbs. I do have pets, so have been using a duvet cover which adds to the heat-trapping properties above and beyond those of the comforter by itself. Note that this is not a machine washable item, so may not be suitable if will regularly be soiled unless you plan to spend a lot of money on dry cleaning. This goose feather down blanket feels more luxurious than I would expect for the current asking price range. This brand is a great value for the budget conscious consumer who wants a little joy and luxury in their bedtime space.

When I got this, I was expecting to not do more than put it on the guest bed for looks, not really using it until fall. However, with nature having a few cold nights left in the bank and me having shut down the furnace, I was just a little tickled to have this show up the day it did and for the next few nights. This goose feather down seems to be quite a bit more feather than actual down, just for the record. It is quilted to avoid the filling traveling too far, but you will likely have to fluff it back into place every once in a while. It also comes very tightly vacuumed in a plastic bag, stuffed in a zippered carry bag that you will never EVER use again for this because that comforter isn't going back in there without a similar vac package. The bag however, does make a decent shoe bag or maybe kids accessory carry bag. But enough about the bag. Keep in mind that because it is so tightly vac packaged, it feels pretty thin to start with. I recommend at least 24 hours to know what you truly have and for the inside to fluff up. Also, toss it around a bit just to add some additional fluff. This is a very nice medium weight, cool weather comforter. It's not something I'd use in the north during hard winter unless I keep the house fairly warm, but this will get you through spring and fall, and maybe winter if you like to keep your AC down pretty chilled. There is a bit of a luxury hotel feel with this one, a little stiff, but tight fabric. I love it, but more importantly, my spouse is thrilled. I do recommend that you take a look at sizes. If you like to put your pillows under the comforter as I do, you might wish to consider that California King. It gives me the length I want so I can pull the comforter up around my ears and not have my feet hanging out. You'll also want a duvet cover for this as well. I've not yet done that so don't have a recommendation for one, and they are a pain to put on, but it would come in handy and keep it clean from dust. Disclosure - the first pic is right after opening it. Second pic is after sitting 24 hours. Third pic is what the California King looks like on a Queen bed. I like a draping quilt.

This comforter has a nice, fluffy feel and does a good job providing medium warmth for all-season use. It feels soft and comfortable once on the bed, and the overall sleeping experience is solid with good coverage for a California king size. The quality is decent overall, especially in how it feels once fluffed up. The cotton cover feels pleasant and the fill gives it a nice loft that holds up reasonably well. It does give off a more premium impression when fully used on the bed. The main drawback is the price, which feels quite high for what it is. It’s a good comforter, but you are definitely paying a premium. Still, if you want something soft, warm, and fluffy, it does deliver on its intended purpose.

I have ordered several different products from BPC, its my go to company for pillows and comforters. Every single product I have received from them has been fluffy, well made and exactly what I expected. This comforter is no exception and it has quickly become a staple in our bedroom. Living in Florida means dealing with serious humidity at night, so we keep the AC running pretty low to compensate. Finding the right comforter for that kind of climate is actually trickier than it sounds because you want something that feels cozy without making you overheat. This one hits that balance perfectly. It is just the right amount of thickness, weight, warmth and its extremely comfortable without feeling suffocating, which is exactly what you need when your AC is working overtime. Out of the box there was a very mild odor which is completely normal and expected with goose feather down. It aired out quickly and was a non issue after that. The comforter is genuinely fluffy and feels really high quality, which again is pretty much what I have come to expect from this brand. The comforter is fully white. It fits my queen size duvet perfectly, it has 8 hoops to tie or attach your duvet. I haven't experienced any clumping, it lays evenly across the bed, and just feels luxurious without being over the top heavy. I have to mention that I'm not the only fan in the household. My Indian Ringneck absolutely loves this comforter and has fully claimed it as his own. Honestly his seal of approval might be the highest compliment I can give because that bird has opinions about everything. If you are on the fence about this one, especially if you live somewhere warm and need that perfect cool weather balance, just go for it. You will not regret it!

This is a very nice, well-made and well-priced (at $100) comforter. The cotton cover is tightly-woven and no fibers had migrated through after a tumble in the dryer to fluff it up. It has duvet cover loops at each corner and in the middle of each side. The box baffles are well-stitched, though because they are box baffles you need to make sure the intersections of the stitching don't become cold spots: this does need to be well-fluffed. The fiber content is 84% goose feather fiber, 8% goose down fiber and 8% goose feathers, so this is not really a down comforter but rather a feather comforter. My only quibble is that the ad claims in several places that this item is both RDS and DownPass certified, but there is no indication of RDS certification on the product (there is a DownPass tag and number which is valid according to the DownPass website but does not provide the specific manufacturer or product it is assigned to). Overall a very good pick for three-and-a-half season warmth, though it might not be enough if you keep your house very cold in the winter.

This down comforter is very fluffy! I like that it's genuine down and not the "faux" stuff. It has a nice medium weight, and the down keeps me warm without feeling smothered. This fits my king bed well, and I like that the corners have loops so that my cover ties can be attached. One thing I will mention is that it arrived vacuum-packed and required a bit of time to reach full fluffiness. The first thing I did was let it sit our for a day, and then I ran it through the dryer. That helped, but the best way to get it to fluff up is to hang it outside on a warm, sunny day. Once I did that, it really looked great. This is a good value for a real down comforter and I highly recommend it.
