White stitching?

Just arrived yesterday, king size in black, took some effort to stretch and get on. Looks good, but why did they use white thread? I think if I work at getting it tucked under it might I hide the white stitches.

The grey is NOT the color described.

Almost does not fit my twin box spring, it’s pulled super tight so i don’t know how long it will last. Thinner material, but fits the price paid. The main disappointment was that the grey is NOT grey but more of a light blue. In the photo my top sheet is grey and the box screen cover is blue.
