I'm not exactly thrilled with this book. I'm a very novice soap maker and I was hoping for better recipes than just some of the plain ones. It's OK for now and I do tweak the ingredients to get the perfect soap.

Have been making soap for years, Jan Berry's Simple/Natural my favorite. This is a beautiful book but the title is misleading. Out of 19 recipes, only 5 are for soap. The others are for haircare, bodycare, skincare. I plan to give the book away, but thought I'd try the Oat Milk and Turmeric soap, only to find it has 1.32 oz of oat milk which I thought was odd as I've made oat milk soaps and a few use 4 oz, most use 8 oz. So, lovely to look at, but not a great resource for soap making. Also, FYI, it is not hardcover, but paperback. ... show more
