Nice little bag

Nice little bag and much nicer than I expected for the price. There is one minor issue with the handle being a bit too short unless the center of the bag is squished down. It is still in the way opening it but also kind of adds security hiding the zipper. Good or bad ??? I don't really mind it but I am sure others will.

Looks Pretty, But Ergonomically Awful to Carry and Access

Pros: Attractive Exterior: On the positive side, the bag is very visually appealing. The faux suede fabric feels soft to the touch, the color looks great, and the interior lining complements the exterior nicely. It's a decent medium size for just the essentials. Cons: Extremely Rigid, Non-Ergonomic Handle: The wide top strap has absolutely zero give to it. It is incredibly stiff and hard—almost as if there is a piece of metal built into the core. Because it is so unyielding, it completely digs into your hand while carrying it and becomes uncomfortable almost immediately. Handle Blocks Access: The product photos show the bag slouched down in the center, making the handle look like it has plenty of clearance. In reality, when you are actually holding or using the bag, the handle is way too short and completely blocks the main opening. You can't even flip it out of the way to get inside. Rough, Heavy Zipper: To make matters worse, because you have to awkwardly squeeze your hand past the short handle to access the interior, your skin constantly scrapes against the heavy, sharp teeth of the robust zipper. It is genuinely painful to look for things inside this purse. Final Verdict: This purse is a classic case of "looks nice on display, but highly impractical for daily use." Unless you plan on carrying it completely for show without ever needing to unzip it or put your hand inside, the rigid strap and frustratingly tight access make it a pass.

Weird top strap interferes with the zipper

I have several BOSTANTEN handbags, and love them, so I had high hopes for this one. I was disappointed. The brown vegan suede is lovely, a classic color and soft to the touch, just like genuine suede leather. That’s the good part. The pockets (or lack of) left a lot to be desired. There are no outside pockets, and only two on the inside, one zippered and one not. I like to put my keys and my phone into secure pockets, so I know right where to reach for them, and know that they won’t fall out. The only place for my phone here is swimming around in the inside of this purse with all my other stuff. There’s no pocket big enough for a phone. The straps…there is a wider strap right across the top purse zipper, that constricts movement when you go to zip or unzip. It’s just kind of in the way. It’s not really big enough to be a comfortable handle. I thought the enclosed crossbody strap would improve the strap situation, and it did, but the immovable handle still gets in my way. The crossbody strap doesn’t have swivel hooks, so make sure you install it correctly and that it’s not twisted. It has some shiny buttons that you push through holes in the strap (like a belt) so you can adjust the length to several options. There are little loops to secure the end of the strap, a nice touch. All in all, an okay purse, pretty to look at, but it could be functionally improved. I wouldn’t buy it again.

Super Cute Suede Bag with Great Security, but a Few Quirks
Color: Suede Camel Brown
This brown vegan suede crossbody bag has really lovely material, it comes in a classic color, is incredibly soft to the touch, and genuinely looks and feels like real suede leather. It's a super cute little bag, especially at the current $22 price point. When it comes to storage, the organization is pretty minimal. Inside, it only has one zippered pocket and one smaller open pocket without a zipper. There aren't any easily accessible outer pockets on the exterior either, so everything has to go into the main compartment. Not the greatest when you want to grab something quickly, like your phone. And the main strap design is definitely interesting. There is a wide strap right across the top zipper that lets you carry the bag on your shoulder. It makes for a comfortable way to hold it, but it also sits directly over the opening, which makes it difficult to actually reach the zipper and open the bag. On one hand, it works as a great security measure since it restricts easy access and would definitely keep thieves out. On the other hand, it isn't great if you want fast and easy accessibility to your stuff. An additional crossbody strap comes included with the bag and you have to be careful to install it correctly so it doesn't get twisted. It uses hardware that you push through holes just like a belt, which gives you several options to adjust the length to your liking. It has a nice, relaxed silhouette that pairs easily with casual outfits, but you definitely have to get used to how the top strap sits over the zipper. Bostanten makes quality bags that hold up super well, this little hobo bag is a welcome addition to my collection!
