Description

With the 200 series, BOSS introduces a new generation of pedals that pack advanced sound and versatility into a streamlined size that saves space on your board. Grab-and-go controls and multi-function switches make operation easy and intuitive, while onboard memories allow you to store multiple Setups for instant recall. All 200 Series pedals feature premium audio quality with 32-bit AD/DA, 32-bit internal processing, and 96 kHz sampling rate, as well as support for additional control via external switches, an expression pedal, or MIDI. From the Manufacturer The EQ-200 is the most flexible compact EQ ever created for guitar and bass. It features two wide-ranging 10-band EQ channels, plus an onboard graphic display that shows the current EQ curve at a glance. Selectable signal flow structures configure the channels for stereo, parallel, or series operation, and it’s even possible to patch in external pedals for deep pre/post tone shaping. Going further, the frequency centers of all 10 bands can be set to three different types, letting you optimize the EQ-200’s performance for different instruments.

  • Game changer.
I play synthesizer and this pedal has opened up my sound so much. I can cut out unintented growl or hiss from the final signal, boost mids, or even out the tone across the keyboard. I use this almost constantly these days.

  • Love the split channels
I’m running a Tone King and Hot Rod Deluxe. I run them stereo out of my pedalboard. I got this EQ for the split A/B channel mainly to control the volume of the Fender. Works great and the rest of the EQ is an added benefit.

  • thē MOST expressive EQ I’ve used !!!
1st.. looks larger online, hence the photo. 2nd.. with the 15 plus/minus db level, this can actually be used as an overdrive pedal also... very cool. Huge takeaway !!! 100 plus memory storage ... great for a ton of instruments.... going to try it on vocals... pull some of the deeper/darker tones out. This little firecracker can do whatever you want... deep dank sludge... ultra bright peaks... and all points in between... As for acoustic... holy guano !!! The tone you can dial in is amazing !!!!! Had the GT-1000... for as nice as that unit is, doesn’t even come close to this thing !!! Seriously !!! Full spectrum control... and I mean FULL SPECTRUM. Well worth the $ .... and.... it’s fun too... really fun. Discovering the amount of balancing used for some of the greatest recordings of all time. Will honestly say... you will love this thing. From live performances, to home jamming, to intricate recordings... top notch ... show more

  • Great Option for Tweaking Your Tone.
I was a little apprehensive to purchase this based on the price ($250 +/-). But I am so glad I did. I am using this as a post eq and it has really done wonders on my tone. I play though a Line 6 240hc head and a Line 6 4x12 cabinet. I really love the Line 6 head but have never appreciated the sound of the Line 6 monitors. So I also run two Headrush frfr speakers. I've added the Boss EQ 200 between the Line 6 4x12 and the two Headrush monitors. And also patch the Line 6 240hc head as direct out into the Headrush monitors. The EQ has just totally woken this rig up. I am loving it. Go get one. Just remember. These don't create tones. They only tweak them. ... show more

  • Graphic EQ with a memory
After buying the DD-200 and being impressed with the sound quality I decided to start buying the rest of the 200 series pedals. The last one was the eq. I was initially apprehensive about buying a pedal for tone control as the other pedals have tone settings. The graphic eq however controls bands of tone the other pedals do not and adds significant gain when needed. I also tried this with an acoustic guitar and liked the way the eq improved the tones. Once you are done tweaking the eq with the perfect settings you can save them along with 3 more slots so you can quickly access different tone profiles. ... show more

  • Tone Scalpel
EQs are not sexy. And it may seem like this is a boring pedal. But, it's not. However, to get the most out of this pedal you probably need a good switcher with midi. The whole point of this pedal is to be able to change the sound of your guitar or your amp into other guitars or other amps. This pedal can do both at the same time and do so at the appropriate loops in your chain simultaneously. With the right switching system, this could act as a guitar and amp simulator of sorts ... show more

  • Sounds good though
My only gripe is that the unit has an auto-off dependent on the 1/4 in jack and so it can bug out when jostled, cuts off, and then takes a second to boot back up. Can also be picky about the cables you use.
