  • Great value, great sound!
Bought these for an OEM upgrade. Ended up building rear ported boxes and are using them with a class D amplifier. They sound incredible! The tweeter attenuation allows for warmth and minimizes listener fatigue. The woofers hit the lower frequencies hard for a 6.5" cone. I highly recommend if you want great sound and have a limited budget. ... show more

  • Sounded OK, Would not recommend.
The right speaker started popping incredibly loud to the beat after a few weeks and ultimately failed completely while at low to mid volume, After the left speaker started popping they both got a screwdriver stuck through them and were tossed in the trash. Got a new set of Kicker 6.5s and have been a lot more pleased with them. ... show more

  • Nice speakers, no info
Speakers sound great! Put in my Motorhome up front by driver and passenger seats. I would have gave them 5 stars, if it came with any type of instruction or wire drawing of bridge and tweeter. Negative and positive are not marked, that was my main issue. Hooking up and installing basic speakers are easy. For others that question + & - wires on tweeters red is the positive to the bridge. On hold with tech support for 30 minutes. ... show more

  • Good set, not great but very good
I bought these specifically for the tweeters and crossovers. Decided to install the speakers too. Set the amplifier to high pass for the woofers and low pass for the sub and they all sound very good together!! Volume is a bit low (that can be changed at the amp) and the sound quality isn’t super great but it’s a very good set. The tweeters are easy to set up with the crossovers. My woofers are Boss, the tweeters are Boss, my amp and sub is Boss. I’m a big fan! The only thing I don’t like is the lack of clear instructions. The tweeters wires aren’t marked. The striped wire (usually negative) is positive. The solid is negative. Took me a while to figure that out. Overall I’m very pleased with this setup!! ... show more

  • i like the grll
I like the grills. The speakers frame are made from aluminum nice and solid just installed them they sound good without an amp. Going to install an amp and run them hard so if they sound as good as they do now I will be extremely happy with them. Will update when the amp is installed. Update had one set hooked to a 700 watt amp blew one speaker turn off the bass coming out of the amp and turned it down a little installed another speaker. No problems now they are only rated for 500 watts so I'm the one to blame they still get a five star rating from me! The sound good and are loud. ... show more

  • Good buy and sound good
This component system would have gotten 5 stars but when i received them i was excited so went to work right away on installing them got them all in and so far it had looked like they were made out of good materials. but when i turn on the stereo i had great sound out of one side but the other side's woofer was quiet and the tweeter didnt work so i tested them and they worked great. i then opened up the cross-over box only to find a bad solder joint. resoldered and they work great. would highly recomend as long as you get one with good solder joints. ... show more

  • bang for the buck!
WOW this is the best set of speakers I have EVER owned for under 100.00! I have been into car audio for over 25 years and I have owned virtually everything out there either on my own or through whatever shop I was working for at one time or another...Here's something to think about though...these speakers have passive crossovers..which I took apart and checked out and are really nice for the money and have high quality caps and also no resettable circuit breaker which I have experienced in the past as a pain in the bootie! eventually they wear out and your tweeters will kick off all the time..I was going to remove them if it had them and gladly they are not there. Anyway...the crossovers are seriously power hungry so don't plan on using these speakers without some power to push them. I'm using a 190 watt per channel tube/ mosfet hybrid which is one of the original hand assembled ones made by US amps back in the day..and it sounds so so sweet...I'm driving it with my new Kenwood KDC-X896 Excelon head unit which I also bought here. I'm going to buy another set of these for the back of my truck and run them in series with the set I already bought and load my amp down to 2 ohms per channel to compensate for the hunger of the crossovers...but they are clean clean clean and they seem to be able to handle the punishment I give them with no problem..and I like it LOUD!!! ... show more

  • Good sound with descent stereo.
It's been more than a year of use and it is still going strong. Coupled with a low end Pioneer stereo with 6 band Graphic EQ with a low pass filter, and the sound is quite good after breaking them in. The speakers are good quality. Crossovers are a lot worse but does the job. I friction fitted the tweeters, which may have caused the plastic housing to come apart at the weak threads after about a year later. I installed with the woofers in foam speaker basket to get a strong, robust, loud bass sound. There's no installation instructions. I connect the woofers to the -6db. ... show more
