Features

  • Unleash the Low End: The patented bass restoration circuit detects upper-range harmonics and synthesizes a powerful low-frequency foundation. By injecting this signal back into your audio path, it delivers deep, chest-thumping impact to tracks that lack low-end authority.
  • Compatible with Factory and Aftermarket Head Units: Equipped with both speaker and line-level inputs and outputs for connection to downstream equalizers, crossovers, and amplifiers.
  • ParaBASS Frequency Shaping: Provides dedicated controls to focus The EPICENTERs output. Allows you to sweep the center frequency (2763 Hz) to align the bass restoration with your vehicle's sweet spot. By adjusting the width, you control the bandwidth of the added signalensuring the impact is perfectly tuned for your vehicle.
  • Crisp, Clean Audio: Achieves >105dB signal-to-noise ratio and 0.03% Total Harmonic Distortion (THD).
  • Included Dash Mount Control: Control The EPICENTER Micro Effect and bass levels from the driver seat using the ACR-4 dual knob remote.
  • Protect Your Subwoofer: The programmable frequency match (PFM) subsonic filter allows you to fine tune your audio and eliminates wasted amplifier power. For true enthusiasts, this filter can be bypassed and 10V+ output can be accessed.
  • Small Mini Form Factor: The compact chassis (1" L x 5.9" W x 3" H) eliminates wasted vehicle space. Recommended fuse rating: 1A.
  • The EPICENTER Link: Seamlessly connects with AudioControl EPIC Series monoblock, EPICFIVE, or EPICBIGFOUR amplifiers for an unbeatable bass experience.

  • The Missing Link for High-Power Builds — King Kong Bass!
I’ve been around professional installs for years, and my current build is 100% aftermarket—no OEM equipment here. I’m running a CT Sounds 1500W RMS amp and an NVX 12-inch VCW122 V3 subwoofer. I integrated the Epicenter Micro using high-quality RCA cables (low-level signal), and the results are absolute insanity. My system was already hitting hard and shaking walls, but adding this unit shifted everything into "King Kong rumble" territory. It’s a common misconception that this is only for music that lacks bass. I listen to all rap, and this makes the bass feel significantly deeper, cleaner, and more expansive. Even with the effect knob turned all the way down, the output quality is noticeably superior to running without it. It adds a "weight" to the music that you have to hear to believe. The ACR-4 dual-knob remote is a lifesaver. Since every rap track is mastered differently, being able to adjust the restoration effect and the sub volume independently from the driver's seat is essential. Pro Tip for Aftermarket Users: Since I’m using RCA inputs rather than high-level signal, this unit acts as a powerful line driver. It delivers a massive, clean voltage to the amp. Just be careful with the settings—when used correctly, it’s a game-changer, but you don't want to over-saturate the signal. If you’ve ever thought, "where has this been all my life?" after an install, this is that product. Pros: Deep Restoration: Brings out sub-harmonics in rap tracks for a massive, "monstrous" feel. Line Driver Power: Provides a clean, high-voltage RCA signal to aftermarket amps. Dual Control: Independent adjustment of effect and volume via the ACR-4 remote. Superior Clarity: Makes the bass hit "way nicer" than a standard setup. Final Verdict: If you have a high-output aftermarket system and think you don't need this—you're wrong. It’s the difference between a loud system and a legendary one. ... show more

  • I used it for about a month
First time epicenter user, here. I was going to buy a regular epicenter and a LC2i pro, and discovered this and bought it instead. This product is almost like a regular epicenter and LC1i combined, and has just a tiny bit more functions like a remote that has both audio level control and the amount of epicenter. So, the bottom line. I used it for about a month and tried around 1000 songs from all different genres. For example, Led Zepplin's babe I'm gonna leave you has no bass, but with epicenter, it's pretty darn cool. It's really awesome. No amount of EQ can do what epicenter can. Some of the songs with very little bass like radio head stuff, epicenter really brings out the bass. Even Jewel stuff can have bass. lol. But, here's the thing. Epicenter is very song specific. If you leave epicenter on and you leave your stereo on random, and when a rap song comes on when the epicenter is engaged, you could easily blow out your sub. A lot of the songs, if you don't set the sweep and wide "correctly", the bass can sound really flabby. But even if you just play an album, every song in the album can have different amount of bass, and you could blow your sub. I was always fiddling with the remote dial when a new song came on. Also, the dial. You gotta turn the dial almost always 3/4th of the way to hear the epicenter working. If you go too far, you could blow your sub, and if you don't turn enough, you can barely hear any improvement. So, the line out converter quality is excellent. The bass sounds very clean. But this thing almost feels like a very expensive clean line out converter, with bass recreation function for a very few specific songs, imo. When it works, though, it's pretty cool. I did tap the both front door speakers for the full range feed, and used a monoblock with one 12 inch in a sealed box. It took many days to dial in the sweep and wide just right for my songs. It was PIA to adjust it b/c it required so many trips going back and forth from the front of the car to the trunk. I really think they should've added another dual dial in the remote that can adjust the sweep and wide. That would've been perfect. I still don't think I experimented enough with the sweep and wide for some songs, but I just gave up and left it the way it is. FOr example, if you set the wide all the way to the right, it covers pretty much all songs, but you only get boomy bass, not tight bass. I was actually hoping to hear the upright bass(the instrument) a lot louder, or maybe hear the bass player in rock songs louder, but epicenter doesn't work that way. Overall, it's a pretty cool product. But feels a little too expensive. It's like that option you got in your car that you hardly ever use, but when you need it, it's pretty cool to have it. ... show more
