I’ve tried the camera and so far I love it! I got this to actually check on my dogs and the backdoor when I’m away from work. Okay, so here we go, like the song says “The good, thanks bad and the ugly.” First of all, if you have any kind of problems at all, forget it! They laughingly state that they provide email and telephone support. Forget it! No one answers the phone except voice mail and they never return the call. Same thing with email. You will have spiderwebs on your phone by the time you receive a return email. If product support is important to you, this is the wrong company! Actually from what I understand the X1 cameras are no longer manufactured and they are selling off their inventory. The camera is fair but as an engineer and technology writer I can attest to the fact that these cameras have geometric distortion where straight lines look curved. The night pics are decent but not great These camera head is capable of panning left or right but will not tilt up or down. I found that periodically, the cameras all lose their wifi signals periodically which is very annoying. The camera setup is voice assist but doesn’t really help. I find after you set it up the app leaves you hanging and there is no instruction on how to proceed. The camera head is prone to damage and if you turn the head manually as opposed as to using the app, your camera can be fatally damaged. I could go on and on, but I’m attempting to think of anything else positive and I can’t think of anything To sum it up, the cameras are not bad but if you are expecting product support, forget it. Brought this for my newly moved-in apartment. Overall, the picture quality is pretty satisfied. I can take snapshot directly in the app. A lot of functions, some of them I haven't have time to explore yet(like control through Alexa). The sound detect and motion detect is pretty accurate. All the functions are accessible through the app. Can change the angle in the app easily. I love the 3 quick modes on the app for smart hub, which switch on/off the door sensor and doorbell. They have detailed FAQ in the app which resolved my problem when first time connect. Cons: Need to connect to the charger when use. Bought the set with door sensors, overall great product. I’m really happy about the build quality of the camera, very sturdy with an aluminum shell all across the body. Overall setup was smooth, one niche thing is that the voice that confirms you are connected is a bit loud but it does the job. Picture quality is good, even when at low light. With the app you can see live views from the camera. Viewing angle is not an issue since you can also turn the camera to point at where you want to look just from the phone. Given the quality and the price, this is probably the best you can find on the market. Setup is easy and fast (I did it within 2 minutes). Video quality is great. The thing I like the most is "PIR", seems to be some kind of heat source-based motion detection so it only triggers if a person is moving. My living room had a window facing street and at night cars drive by and sometimes headlamp light would trigger false motion events, but it never triggers PIR. A good buy overall. I bought it to monitor my place. The camera is pretty good, video quality is fine. I like that the angle wide enough to capture the whole living room. The set-up is easy enough for someone bad in diy. You can do it by yourself by following the instructions-pretty straight forward. Pros: Very easy setup process, and the video quality is great. Size is smaller and weight is lighter than I expected and that is great. The door sensors works fine and you can set an angle for the camera that whenever sensors are triggered, the camera will aim at the preset angle. The two way audio is also useful since it can be used as phones that don't need to be picked up, I used the device to remind my roommate to turn off the stove that I left on when I left my home in the morning. Love it they are coming out with more Door/Window Sensors for the BOSMA X1 IP Camera that will allow you hook up to 32 Door/Window Sensors to the BOSMA X1 IP Camera, and they have great costumer service.
