After many reviews and watching tons of video reviews on the Bose 251 Wall Mount Outdoor Environmental Speakers, I finally decided to pull the trigger and purchase them for my wife's Christmas present (back in 2020). It's January 2023 and I am writing this review because I wanted to give them a couple of season's use before I offered my two cents. I wound up getting them in White and actually had my electrician install them and run the speaker wire. Let me give you my honest assessment. The sound today is as crystal clear as it was when the were installed. We put them on our deck to provide music to our in ground pool area and it exceeded expectations. The music reaches our entire backyard, driveway and side yard area. The sound is like I am at a concert, but even better. These were the exactly what I hoped for and even better. We have had no issues, and the white still looks brand new. I would highly recommend these if you are on the fence. We hooked the speakers to the Bose SoundTouch SA-5 Amplifier, which allows us to use our smart phones to play music - so simple. The speakers sounds great... Also purchased the Bose amplifier. The only complaint I have is.. The brackets that came with it is not adjustable, You can only tilt it up and down.. It would be great if you can tilt it left and right...

These integrated well with the Bose Music Amplifier. I have everything installed at my pavilion and I’m able to play music and listen to tv programs through the speakers and I’m happy with them. Might buy two more in the near future.

I'm not one to write reviews, so I hope this helps you make your decision. My new Bose 251 speakers are mounted outside, under the cover of my patio. I have them spaced roughly 20' apart, and they're mounted at about 8' high. First, let me say I love them. I'm happier than I thought I'd be. I've been reading reviews on several different speakers, hearing how disappointed people are with lack of bass or a flat sound or whatever they needed to complain about. No complaints here. None at all. The mounting was very easy. 4 screws on each bracket, and the speakers just slide down in place. The speaker angle is adjustable by loosening the 2 knobs on the sides of the speaker. Super easy. The speaker wires can either be connected with banana plugs or just bare wire tightened to the connector nuts. I went with bare wire. Again, super easy. I went in the house to turn on the receiver, and was a little unsure what I would here when I walked outside to my patio. Well, I could hear them inside very clearly. The bass was more powerful than I had expected, and the highs were clean and crisp. The sound outside filled the entire patio area, and carried out clearly across my backyard. WOW!!! I am very pleased. I mounted these less than an hour ago, and here I am writing a review. That's how much I like these Bose 251 speakers. Yes, I strongly recommend them. Enjoy! ... show more

Very good speakers but I thought they were Bluetooth and I have a great disappointment, I wanted to install it in the yard near the social area and transmit the music from my cell phone and it only works by connecting it to a sound system pay attention so that they don't make the same mistake, nowadays everything is Bluetooth ... show more

The media could not be loaded. These speakers are fantastic a phones microphone does no justice for them. You need to hear them in person. I searched high and low for the perfect speakers for my space. It was a toss up between these and the Klipsch 650’s. Unfortunately the Klipsch were to large and bulky looking. So I went for the more elegant approach The Bose 251’s. Once outdoors in the correct location connected to the appropriate amplifier the fill the space beautifully and balanced. I have them running on the Bose SA-5 amplifier which provides more than enough power. Again I will say. Hearing them on video with a phones microphone does nothing for them. You must hear them in person in your space. You will not be disappointed. ... show more

It’s a great speaker. Installed a set on our patio. Mounted them horizontally without issue. Very clear, excellent mids and highs, great volume and sound. The bass is a little week for my liking so I will probably add an outdoor sub. If you like Bass these will score low on your expectations. The only other con is they are pretty large but most outdoor speakers are. The shape may not be ideal as there is an arch in them and they don’t lay flat. If you plan to point them inward they work great, if needing them to be flat it will be a prob. ... show more
