Connecting preamp to amplifier

So, finally was able to put these to use this evening, connected to some stage mics, the sound quality doesn't get effected, the Shure lines i replaced with these were to long, however, the only issue i have is when connecting to the male XLR floor ports, there is an issue with the disconnect because the female end of this cable doesnt have the slot for the click connect to fit into. So it gets jammed instead requiring careful, yet forceful removal from the floor port XLR jacks. Now i realize there may be floor ports specifically missing that feature, but the majority of those have this click lock capability, which the cable does not support in its current iteration. Outside of that issue, though, this cable worked nicely, looked very nice, although, black is the gold standard of course, these rose gold color actually looks pretty nice on the boom, wish it came with boom clips too.

These are ok XlR cables for the price. Very flexible if you need to work them around your home studio. Not sure if I would use them for touring or traveling as I do not think they would hold up over time that well. But if you plug them in and leave static they get the job done. Fair value for the cost.

The braided covering looks good and the cords seem well made. They didn't add any hiss to the mix. I wouldn't use these for live gigs, but in a small studio where you needed short runs and less clutter these might be perfect. I wouldn't trust the lightweight cabling to hold up on stage for very long though.

I really can't rate these any higher since I am unsure of the gauge of wire included in the cable. I am not going to dismantle and check since I am using this on a backup headphone amp and sound is fine, no decay or lose of quality detected. I really like the color and finish of the cable and wish the maker would disclose what they use for wire on their listings. I like that its flexible and not the standard thick rubber cable like most XLR cable are these days. Since the gauge of wire isn't disclosed best I can rate is 4 stars plus also unsure of durability of this brand.

This is an OK pair of cables at an OK price. They're basic XLR male-to-female, like the majority of XLR cables. The braided cable is nice. I always feel like braided is going to last longer than the rubbery cable. I don't know if that's true, but they feel better to me. The connectors are decent. Not the best I've handled, nor the worst. They click into place reasonably well, and seem like they can hold up to some moderate use. Overall, there's nothing really wrong with these. They're just not quite nice enough or inexpensive enough for me to call them a great value.

These XLR cables are quite thin and they are wrapped in a soft cover - these cables do not seem to be tangle prone - which is great. I like the color as they do not match any other cables I have and that makes them easy to identify at the mixer. These tested out good with my cable tester and when I tried an SM58 mic through each - these seemed to have a good clear tone. Although I welcome the thin cables, I have to wonder about the durability and if the shielding is sufficient. These cables will be used for recording and mixing functions and for that I find them to be very good.

You can never have too many XLR cables in your music studio. But, having not all of them be plain black actually helps you trace which cable is going where. That is, if you are less than professional like myself. These will be great for that. When we need to have 2 mics on something, having these bronze/copper colored cables paired for that will make it much easier to trace and identify them. Aside from that, they seem to be of good materials and just look nice overall.
