This is the 4th aftermarket exhaust I've installed on my highly modified and supercharged 2006 Corvevtte. Didn't like the sound of Corsa's nor how they looked from the rear of the car. Tried Magnaflow's and they were OK until I modified the engine. Had GHL Race series bullets on for the past 3 years. Sounded great on the outside - unbearable on the inside! I guess I'm growing less tolerant to noise as I get older. This Borla product is well made, but I had to fabricate a bracket connecting the 2 mufflers together and tack all of the pipe joints to keep them perfectly aligned.     • Use a lift.
I received the Borla system in a factory sealed container in excellent condition. I opened and inspected all the pieces and found everything in perfect condition. I lifted my 06' Corvette, DO NOT attempt to replace this system on jack stands, you will be sorry! Follow the removal instructions, because the exhaust pipes fit into the "H" pipe on an angle they are difficult to remove without a helper. I found that you must install the exhaust pipes first, then the mufflers, other than that it was a fairly straight forward job. I like the sound of the system, it was what I wanted.     • Borla Touring mufflers have annoying drone at mid-range RPM's
First, the mufflers weren't packaged very well by the manufacturer and they were banged up when I received them. I was able to align the parts and install them in place of the stock mufflers on my 2007 Corvette. There is a noticeable rumble at startup and idle that is bearable. When I accelerate they create an annoying howling sound inside the car at 1500-2500 RPM. I added exhaust venturi inserts per the Borla instructions and the noise was reduced somewhat and the howling now occurs in the 2500-3000 RPM range. The howling sound is much louder when the car is under load going up a hill. My car was already fitted with soundproofing insulation and I've added more soundproofing and muffler wraps to help attenuate the sound. The mufflers are very quiet at 1500 RPM in 6th gear on the highway but they are uncomfortable to drive around town. I'm stuck with a set of $1500 mufflers that I will have to replace or apply more countermeasures to make them work on my car. Borla doesn't guarantee the sound and oddly they said they would have shipped me a new set if I wouldn't have installed them. I don't know what difference that makes so their million mile warranty doesn't have any value in this situation. In my opinion they don't live up to the hype and I would look for different options if you are looking for a quiet exhaust system for your Corvette. ... show more

    • Quality exhaust with great sound
Quality product that was easy to install. Has a great sound - louder than stock but not too loud - and a nice pop and rumble during deceleration. Everything needed for the installation was provided except the rubber hanger. Very well made. Thanks to Amazon for the quick shipping.
