    • This game is fun, but at times can feel dated. Still enjoyable!
I am new to Borderlands, but I've been playing it lately, and it's starting to feel a bit old. Even though the graphics are dated, I still recommend playing Borderlands if you're into first-person shooters.

UPDATE : Nintendo did a update so now the DLC works Surprising the games run well on the switch, controls are alright with joy cons but better with a pro controller, I played parts of 1 it runs great just an older game lol, 2 nothing wrong with it, looks better then the 360 version in my opinion, and pre sequel runs just as good as 2. Heads up dont download the DLC for BL2 or the game wont work, hold off on downloading the DLC rn its free but its bugged, Everything else is a 5/5 the reason i gave it a 4 star was i was wishing all 3 games came on the Card, but no its just the 1st game on the card, then the other two are downloads. yes its just me being picky because of the switches small storage and i have a SD card in and now its full, minus that the package was a steal and if you're a borderlands fan def get this package you'd be busy on the go! ... show more

    • Make sure you have a large memory card.
I remember back when the switch launched there were games released that were slightly more expensive, and the practice of publishers charging more money for the same game when released on Nintendo systems garnered the name Switch tax. I would argue that the real switch tax are games like this which are published with barely one of the games actually being on the game card and the rest being digital downloads that require a large enough memory card to offset the inconvenience of the publisher being a cheapskate. That and only that is the reason this is only 3 stars. Otherwise I am amazed to be able to play the incredible borderlands and 2 of it’s 3 sequels, both looking and running smoothly, wherever I go. Does it look like its on a $5,000+ pc war rig? HELL NO! Does it need to? Not really. It’s a beautiful cel shaded game with loot galore and plenty to shoot at with responsive controls(even clean motion aiming for those who dig it). If you don’t mind that this is not actually a physical release go ahead and buy it. If you do, you just need to ask yourself if you really want to play borderlands wherever you want. If the answer to that is a yes then either swallow the bitter pill and grab this or grab it on a digital sale. ... show more

Wrote you KEY activation assistance: I do not live in the USA, and with the activation activation of any code without changing the region, I got an error saying that at the moment it is impossible to activate the product. Changing the region in the Nintendo Switch itself will not solve the problem. You need to go to the Nintendo profile from the computer and there we change the country to USA and the time (for example) New York (ATTENTION money on the balance sheet or gold coins can burn). We save the changes and try to activate the codes for the game. Upon successful activation, first download the game, then start it one by one, turn off the console. We change, if necessary, the region to our native one. ------------------------------------------------------- Good luck ... show more

    • Not the complete package
Let me state the following up front: I have enjoyed the Borderlands series on the PC for years now and they rank very high on my list of must play games. I was looking forward to having the games on a portable device and thus made the purchase. However, I will not recommend this edition of the Borderlands collection for the following reasons. The problem with this port to the Nintendo Switch is that what is listed on the case is NOT what is included inside. There are supposed to be three games complete with all downloadable content (DLC) but what you actually get is the first game in the series on the cartridge. That doesn't include the DLC for the first game. For everything else the publisher provided a code by which you have to DOWNLOAD the rest of the content yourself, which can take a significant amount of time depending upon your internet connection. There is no reason for the publishers, 2K I think, to sell the game this way except for it being the lazy, cheap way to make a dollar. This is a prime example of corporate greed if there ever was one. In a time when we can purchase microSD cards with 512 GB or more of storage capacity, there is no excuse for all three games not being loaded onto the cartridge. Admittedly, there is a small blurb on the front of the game case that states "download and microSD card required". It fails, however, to tell the consumer just how much of a download it requires, meaning two-thirds of the advertised content. That leads to the next gripe I have and this includes Nintendo as well as 2K. It's well known that the Nintendo Switch has a problem with downloads where the system constantly detects "corrupted data" and halts any download. Worse yet, the consumer must RESTART the download from the beginning. For games that include tens of gigabytes of data to download it can be extremely frustrating to have to restart the download only to have it FAIL AGAIN due to the "corrupt data" issue. The corrupt data issue has been plaguing the Switch Lite for some time now and Nintendo seems either unable, unwilling, or simply too effing lazy to resolve it. The download requirement of this Borderlands collection piles on top of the corrupt data issue. You get the picture, I'm sure. There are multiple consumer suggested "fixes" for the corrupt data error and the one that actually worked for me is to have a separate microSD card for each game in order to avoid "corrupt data". That's additional money out of pocket to buy multiple cards, not to mention the need to switch out microSD cards if you want to play the other games in the series. I highly suggest avoiding the Borderlands collection unless you really have no problem with rewarding lazy corporate greediness with your hard earned dollar. ... show more

Nintendo did a pretty good job of bringing this game to the switch . Graphics are pretty good but the color is a little faded , not a real rich deep color like the PS3 & PS4 . But not too bad. You'll still enjoy the graphics. On the down side , the volume isn't very loud , it's pretty quiet . So if your hearing isn't real good then you might be a little displeased . The controles are pretty good , but seem to be just a tad off. Maybe it might just seem that way to me ? If you like Borderlands games , then this is worth the money to purches ! Despite the minor things mentioned , it's still a very fun game for the Nintendo Switch ! ... show more
