I like to buy things in bulk if at all possible. I am very pleased with how this color safe bleach performs. First of all it has a nice pleasant scent that is not overpowering and gets your colors clean and bright. One of my favorite things about this product is that it gets that dreadful sweaty smell out of my husbands shirts. He works outdoors and sweats. I have tried and tried to find something that will get the smell out and this does the job to where nothing else did. I tried the baking soda and vinegar to no avail. This is a must have and I went and purchased my second bucket just to make sure I am stocked in case they discontinue this. Lets face the facts if it works the product usually doesn't stay around long. I bought the last bucket it says and I am hoping that Amazon will continue to carry this product because it actually works. We live in the land of consumers and I guess it is better for manufactures to have us buying everything trying to find the product that works but never does. ... show more

I had forgotten about Borateem until it turned up as a recommendation. I love this stuff! I tend to get my white sport socks very dirty from working outside, walking in side with no shoes, and just in general walking around because of the crappy red clay soil where I live. I have tried everything from bleach to tsp to try to get the dirt out. Borateem was the only thing that made a difference! It made my white socks so bright! It didn't completely get rid of the stains but it made a dent, you betcha! The huge bucket is actually very light and the bucket can be re-used after being cleaned out. The smell is very light and fresh as well. This is worth trying. Sometimes the old ways are the best ways! ... show more

Had to find a replacement for Purex 2 powder (this is same stuff). A bit expensive in comparison. Works good, but because of cost will keep looking for alternative

    • I've been using this for years
and love it, but it's become harder to find in recent years. Amazon to the rescue! I wouldn't really call it a "bleach", but it does a marvelous job of removing body oils from fabrics, so it's great for tee shirts, sheets, etc. Wouldn't be without it. Oh, yes; my husband has sensitive skin and doesn't have a problem with it (someone else still might, though). ... show more
