I've literally tried about every non toxic bottle and sippy cup on the planet and as I was about to give up and go buy a regular plastic bottle I found these. I honestly hated the look of the silicone cup shrinking but it literally helps prevent them from sucking air. The plastic case is pure genius. Unlike other silicone sippy cups where my kids would squeeze them until the milk came out. These cups prevents them from doing that. The size is good enough for me plus it fits in a carseat cup holder, hallelujah. The colors are cool but I wish they had a set of normal colors together like all primary colors or a nornal color set with all the same color but, it's fine. Also the silicone of the lids are slightly stronger then expected and so my teething one can't bite it off. They do spray a little bit if dropped from a high chair but you likely won't see the splash very well. It's very minimal but every bottle leaks even if they say leak proof blah blah blah. However I can say these leak the least. Just make sure the silicone cup is correctly around the cup cover and you'll be fine. As a new (and older) mom, I received a lot of (appreciated) advice on things to prepare for with the birth of my son. One of the top “notices” was that a lot of babies are very picky about bottles/nipples/pacifiers, and that I may need to try a lot of different bottles, etc before he finds one he likes. Knowing I’ll be going back to the office, it was important to me to make sure I found something that worked for him early on. So, refusing to he “defeated” by a baby I accumulated 1 of every bottle type before he was born through a hybrid of free samples, trial kits, unused handme downs, and some purchases. Some of these included: spectra and medela, avent, heroability (love these too), comotomo, Tommee tippee, dr brown, NuK, evenflo, nanobebe, and chicco. Turns out my breastfed baby just likes food and will eat from any bottle/nipple. (I’m sure this is true only because of how very prepared I was!) That said, as he’s preparing to move into larger bottle sizes, I purchased these, heroability, and tommee tippee bottles for our next phase. I have a strong preference for wide neck bottles. I use a haaka while feeding to collect from the other breast and pour into a bottle for use/storage. A wide neck bottle is way easier to pour into when I have to empty the haaka mid-feed. I also really like silicone because I think it is easy to clean and dries quickly. My husband wasn’t a fan of the silicone bc he worries about squeezing the bottle and “water boarding” the baby! (We got glass tommee tippee bottles for him). I’ve found the ounces markings on this are easier to read than on the other silicone bottles (comotomo and nanobebe). Those have raised numbers, but you have to hold it up in the light. My mom really struggled with seeing the numbers to see how much he had eaten. On the boon silicone pouch ounces are marked out by a change in color/texture that goes all the way around the pouch and is visible through the open area in the plastic. I think it would be nice I’d the plastic outer was marked as well, but if you wanted you could mark the plastic with numbers using a marker, and because the outer doesn’t need to be scrubbed with each use the numbers would likely stay. I have the pump adapter for the spectra. (It also works with comotomo). I also bought the storage lids. I haven’t returned to work yet, but plan on pumping directly into these bottles. I like the idea that they could be ready to go for the next day. While I like the comotomo, I think these will be easier to travel/pack multiple next to each other bc of the shape (long v egg shaped). I also purchased the straw and sippy cup pieces, but have not used them yet. I know these types of products are available for a lot of different bottles, and I like the idea of extending the use of the product (babies go through stuff so fast!) so for me this was more of a must than a plus. The sample bottle I have is 4oz, and I purchased 8oz ones. Although cute and compact, I don’t think I would bother with more than 1 4oz plastic part, as you can put the 4oz pouch in this bottle. ... show more

I love how few parts there are to wash, and ultimately you only really need to wash the silicone bottle part and the nipple because the plastic shell doesn't come directly in contact with the milk. There was a bit of a learning curve with leaking but I finally realized you can visually confirm that the top of the bottle was fully secure on top of the shell and the nipple was stretched flat on the inside of the lid piece. I love the colors, too! These bottles are so wonderful. The Boon Nursh storage buns are also so wonderful for traveling with these bottles! ... show more

My baby was born premature, so we have to supplement with formula. I was so concerned about her getting confused so early on or not wanting to take the breast, but we haven’t had any problems. She actually drinks all her milk, and has no problem latching to the breast. I love how she doesn’t get any air, I don’t have to break her seal to get the milk down the neck, and they are easy to wash & sterilize. I’m glad I came across these bottles. ... show more

I am so sad after a couple of months they have taken on the taste of smoothies I have put in them. I’ve tried soaking them and it didn’t help. I am so disappointed I thought we finally found our sippy cup. I loved that they are silicone and not plastic and I can tolerate the occasional leaks because it’s usually a matter of fixing the seal but the taste is so bad I don’t even know how my daughter tolerates it. It worries me that something on leeching into her milk and drinks. So disappointed. Update: I was dealing with these because they aren’t really cheap but I’ve truly had it. They are not dishwasher safe they have actually gotten worse. Makes me feel like they are becoming more porous and retaining even more dishwasher soap as time goes on. The company has been kind to offer replacements but I cannot in good conscious use these and feed soap my my daughter and unfortunately I don’t have time to sit and wash them by hand every day. Cleaning my dishwasher or using rinse aid also didn’t not help ... show more

Great for breastfed babies, Easier to clean than any bottle I’ve ever tried regular plastics bottle are really hard cleaning wise because of all the crevices milk can get stuck in. So many Accessories you can get , I love the travel containers because my diaper bag is typically full and it would be a hassle to have more than 2 bottles Boon also sells the adapters for the Medela pumps I invested a little more and also got the storage lids because I am pumping as well and I love that you can write the date and time because I tend to forget Over all great bottle for my 2nd baby , so glad I found out about these this time around ... show more

Great bottles! At first we messed up with the liner which caused the bottle to leak but figured it out now. Lightweight and comfortable to hold. Gives baby a good place to grab as well once they start holding the bottle.
