So far so good. I just bought my first fly fishing sling, and needed to outfit it with zinger rigs. This was the perfect little starter set of just the essentials. No frills no useless excess tool/parts. Bare essentials. The nipper was what I was shopping for, as mine was large and bulky. The included one is perfect. Small and lightweight. The forceps or hemostats are twice the length of my modelling ones. Magnet isn’t as strong as I’d expect but it works. Because of this it requires a little work to get the magnets to meet. The forceps work great and I like how there was two of the holders that extend. I have one for pliers and one is for the line snips. The net holder itself works great and the magnets are strong. Overall the kit was worth it!

Nippers cut cleanly and zingers zing like every other I have ever owned. I own several other magnetic net releases, and these seem solid enough. However the magnets are housed in plastic unlike all my others which are aluminum. But it seems to be high quality plastic at least. Tippet holder is much larger then any of the others I have owned. Listing says it will hold 5 rolls, but it can easily hold more. My favorite piece in the kit is the 7.5" curved stainless steel hemostats. Most hemostats have small finger holes and I have big hands. These fit perfectly. No fumbling to get a hold of them. The trout I catch will definitely appreciate a quicker release. The whole thing was neatly packaged as well. Well worth it if you are just starting out, or building additional vests or packs as I am. ... show more

For the price of this kit, I can’t complain. It does everything I wanted to. The quality of the tools are not there, but like I said, for the price you’re getting what you pay for. The biggest thing that I noticed was that the nippers were not as sharp as I would like them to be, but they get the job done. I do really like the magnetic attachment for the net, along with the stretchy, bungee cord to make sure you don’t lose it.
