I used the hooks to hang flags for a retirement party. They worked perfectly! When the party was over, the flags were taken down and there was no sign anything had ever been there. Worked like a charm :)

Okay, but major downside

By all intents and purposes, these hooks do their job well. Installation is super easy, as they just slide in between vinyl siding panels and then click into place. They seem sturdy enough and I have no doubts that they will easily hold just about anything you hang on them (so long as it's not really large or heavy). That all being said, there's a major stipulation here: whatever these hooks should be holding needs to be pulling DOWN, not OUT. If whatever the weight the hooks are supporting is pulling downward, you'll be good to go and all will be well. But I had purchased these hooks as a no-drill option to hang some patio string lights from. For the lighting configuration I'm attempting to build, the string begins at the far corner of my deck, comes back to the house where it's attached to the vinyl siding via these hooks, then goes back out across my deck to the opposite corner of my deck, then back to the house to be attached to a second set of hooks. In this setup, the weight is pulling OUTWARD, not down. Unfortunately, that tension yanks the hooks out almost immediately, rendering them useless. If you want to hang string lights along the side of your house, these hooks ought to be a-okay for that job. But if you want to have your string lights go out and away from the house, I would not recommend these hooks.
