This was a great way to try out a 5 wood for a reasonable price. The grip is comfortable and the regular flex shaft feels right. The only downside I've found is that the reaction between the clubface and the ball feels a bit unusual - not what I'm used to feeling with my 3 wood (although it is another brand). Bought this club to see if I wanted to start carrying a 5 wood again. I mostly play Taylormade and Callaway clubs. Did not want to spend 200 on a 5 wood I may not end up using so took a flyer on this one. First swing with it was from 230 out after a muffed drive and I flushed it and put it within 5 feet and drained the birdie! With how easy it is to control, I hit it off the tee a couple times and found it pretty easy to keep it straight and 240-250 off the tee. I missed an 8 footer for birdie later in the day after going 5 wood 5 wood chip up on a par 5. I just bought the driver and 3 wood to see how I hit them, can’t wait to try them out. The stiff shaft is definitely more whippy then I expected, makes me rethink the philosophy behind stiff shafts for my swing speed… ... show more

This is my 3rd year golfing and I have never played any woods before. I am very comfortable hitting my irons and hybrids, however I am extremely inconsistent with my driver so I figured, why would I want to play a small driver off the fairway, right?? Boy was I wrong, this thing was incredibly easy to hit, I had never hit a wood before in my life, literally had no idea how to even set up (still don't) but wow this club was so easy to hit and incredibly straight, I expected more distance but thats prob the golfer and not the club. I thought I would try the 5-wood to see if I liked it. I installed a better grip after I recieved it, so far I'm liking it as it is easy to hit and the ball flies off of the clubface, it is staying in my bag.
