  • Potent punch!

Great club for the money. Can reach 200yds for sure. Heavy!

  • Quality equipment

Everything they claim it to do it does, been playing Calloway for years, still love them definitely one of the top brands out there. However I hit more consistent shots with my Bombtech clubs. I was definitely surprised how well they play. The price is phenomenal, and they back every club with a 60 day guarantee. (When purchased from their site). You just can’t beat them when they check every box on your list. ... show more

  • heavy head but good wood
Flex: Stiff
I have a trusty and reliable Orlimar fairway wood. I was able to get this on the Vine program; otherwise I wouldn't have tried it as I do love the Orlimar. I have to say that this one definitely has a heavier club head. It does require more effort to lift it on the back swing. But it's that weight that powers the ball forward. Absolutely let the club do all the work - don't try to power it through with your swing. It doesn't need it and if anything trying to add power makes it harder to use. I can add more power and speed to the Orlimar to get extra distance or to adjust the ball flight path (draw/face). I'm not certain I can use this club that way. My interpretation of this club is that it's an easy to use to get it up and forward in a consistant distance and direction. So it'll be a good club for beginners or for those who just want to play it without any fancy shots. It can also be used to get out of the fringe on the fairway or green as an alternate to chipping or putting. I can see uses for this club that I wouldn't normally use the Orlimar for. But I can't see using this for shaping shots that I can with the Orlimar. I'm still trying to see if there's a place for it in the bag. I guess it depends on the course, my fitness level, and my mood. If I'm tired and just want to hit it forward, then I can see myself swapping out for this one. But if I'm feeling fresh and energetic, the I'll keep the Orlimar in play. This is definitely a good club, but for specific and limited uses. ... show more

  • Surprising to be honest
Flex: Stiff
Bought this club to see if I wanted to start carrying a 5 wood again. I mostly play Taylormade and Callaway clubs. Did not want to spend 200 on a 5 wood I may not end up using so took a flyer on this one. First swing with it was from 230 out after a muffed drive and I flushed it and put it within 5 feet and drained the birdie! With how easy it is to control, I hit it off the tee a couple times and found it pretty easy to keep it straight and 240-250 off the tee. I missed an 8 footer for birdie later in the day after going 5 wood 5 wood chip up on a par 5. I just bought the driver and 3 wood to see how I hit them, can’t wait to try them out. The stiff shaft is definitely more whippy then I expected, makes me rethink the philosophy behind stiff shafts for my swing speed… ... show more

  • Quality and confidence
Flex: Stiff
I bought the five wood to try and fill a gap in my clubs. Have played 4 rounds and it is my go to club. Miss hits still go quite a distance and feels good off the face. Replacing my 3 wood with this club and buying the seven wood to fill the gap now. I am a 9 handicap so still don't strike the ball well quite a bit but this club gives me a lot of confidence and performs better than most of the big brands out there and I've used many of them. I would recommend this to any level golfer and it doesn't break the bank. ... show more

  • Not bad overall
Flex: Stiff
Actually this looked better than I thought it would. I am a 6hdcp player and just decided to give this a try. I have never played a 5 wood so I figured it was worth checking out. The stiff shaft is a little soft for my liking but was playable. The face does sit a little closed so I do worry about hooking it off the planet, but so far I haven't had that happen. I am not sure if this is any better than buying a used name brand 5 wood for the same price. But it definitely isn't bad if you don't mind the colors. It also sounds decent and feels solid. I will not always here it in my bag but for some courses it will be in there for sure, as it is a great 220-230 club for me off the tee. ... show more
