I bought this to upgrade my net to a rubber one so treble.hooks don't get caught in the netting. Waste of time and money.. this net is a bluegill sized net. I'm a bass fisherman and couldn't fit my smallest fish in this net.i wouldn't even use this as a trout net because of its particular dimensions.. I show my old net as comparison.. note the nets are the " same" size on paper but in reality this net is for bluegill or pan fishing ... show more

I haven't used the net yet, but it seems well made and durable. However, the net rim is heavy so it would be difficult to use this net with one hand while holding a fishing rod, In the other hand, particularly when the handle is expanded to its maximum length. .

    • Silicone doesn't let water through during scuba fishing.

Its just about impossible to use this net underwater, the silicone doesn't let the water through the netting and fights. While trying to get one fish, it took off from me so I lost the net and the fish. I can't return it for my $$ back as it belongs to some fish now. Most annoying.

Very happy with this net. Sturdy, lightweight and easy to fold up and extend. Be aware, this is a short handle net, even extended. I knew that when I purchased it and it's been great but if you need a longer reach this isn't it. This net is very foldable, lightweight and tough. Great for someone beating the bank or new to kayak/canoe fishing. However, while it does occur to most rubber coated nets, I’ve had treble hooks gets stuck in here something awful. They always come out but sometimes have to cut them out and fuse them back together. Great rubberized net, very happy! ... show more
