Definitely great for fall or early spring. Perfect for my freezing office, didn't need to turn my heater on at all. Color is great, fit is great. True to size. Hood is nice and baggy. Didn't notice a smell when I took it out of the bag but I wash everything before I wear it anyways so that wouldn't be an issue unless it smelled after washing. When I bought this, I thought it was a sweatshirt. It is not. I put a shirt underneath it, but I do love the shirt. It is comfortable, soft feeling it has not shrunk. It is my go to comfy shirt. I like the way it feels.

I read the reviews that said the fabric is thicker than a t-shirt and thinner than I sweatshirt. And it is, but it's a different texture than I expected. I figured it would be closer to the texture of a softer t-shirt. It feels exactly like one of those thinner soft throw blankets, or a pair of pajama pants.
