Know your size! I purchased this for an e-bike and as usual everything is made for a guy 5.5 feet tall. I'm 6-1 and the seats and handlebars are always too low to fit my leg length. So I put these to raise the bar. I also usually buy seats and stems. As this was for an E-Bike I did not take into account the length of the wiring on these new e-bikes - so I could only use half the height of this stem to allow some play in the electrical wiring from the handlebars to the frame of the bike. For other e-bikes, I have taken apart the electrical wiring to reroute them to allow for more height for the handlebars. KNOW YOUR HEIGHT

I have long legs, needed to raise seat height on new bike, this put my hands 2 inches below seat height. Result was most upper body weight on my hands causing them to hurt and go numb on longer rides. My normal / comfortable hand height is 2 inches above seat. You need to know if you have threadless or quill stem. Mine was threadless so handle bar height not adjustable. I bought 5 inch riser which totaled 4 1/2 inch rise which was perfect. Makes huge difference. Heed warning to check cable length is suitable for riser you want. Mine were just long enough.

Very easy to install I love the exstion raising up the handle bars so you don't have to lean down so far . The only thing is that you have to put new brake cables and shifter cables . But it is worth the money plus you don't have to bend over as much for me it helps my back since I have had 3 operating on my back . I love the ride and the product.

Did exactly what I needed. I've got a Mongoose and the seat is adjustable, but not the handle bars so this was perfect for me. Make sure to measure the slack you have in your cables before you select the rise height or you might need to replace cables.
