I decided to learn inline skating in order to get into ice skating and hopefully play ice hokey eventually, (when we start getting snow and ice in the caribbean 🤣that is) because I just love to see the sports. So of course I purchased these along with the skates for safety, and though I don't really fall nearly as often as might be expected of a beginner, the few times I have fallen I was very glad I had these on, so I haven't gotten a single scratch from the falls. (which honestly were not major dangerous falls anyway, but could have resulted in some minor scrapes had I not been wearing these. Size is way to small. I got a large and its just too tight, not a large at all. Especially the knee pads. They must be using Chinese sizing... Quality is ok but large is small.
