I ordered up to get my personal desired fit, so my interpretation is based on that! I usually wear a medium in bottoms, a 27 or 28 in jeans, and have wide thighs and hips. I decided to order up because even though a medium would have been comfortable on my waist, I didn’t want to encounter having the skirt feel too snug and restrict movement. Sizing up seems to have done the trick — I still have a bodycon fit, but ease of movement. However, I think the fit is made to be true to size and I would be comfortable in a medium as well. It really depends on your own preference. The fabric of the skirt is thicker and a higher quality than I expected. It seems like most bodycon items are a thinner, softer fabric… which means that lines underneath show through pretty obviously. I’m impressed with the weight of this skirt, which is still stretchy and breathable, but feels like it is more smoothing/lends better to disguising underwear lines. It’s soft enough without feeling like it was made to be soft loungewear. I’m perhaps a touch over 5’4 and the skirt reaches down about an inch past the back of my knee. That being said, I can adjust where the skirt is sitting on my waist and thighs by gathering it a little so it looks a bit ruched (and also gives a little more space if I’m sitting or moving around more). The beauty of a bodycon piece like this is that I feel you can do little adjustments such as that in order to find the most comfortable fit. The slit in the back is not very high — it is in my opinion a respectable size that can be worn in office settings or more formal settings. It’s not there to show skin, but still has a chic and classy feel to it. This skirt is a little longer than I’d usually go for, but I’ve seen some about this length styled lately in different ways and am really interested in giving it a go. How will different boots look with the length? How can I build looks for different times of year with it? This is such a versatile piece that I’m excited to find new combinations and experiment with my own style, all while being quite comfortable and confident in my look.

My girlfriend needed a new skirt for the office, so we decided to try out this high-waisted pencil skirt (well she wanted the longer one but I "accidentally" ordered the shorter version.) The blue color is vibrant in person and gives a nice pop to her usual work wardrobe of neutral colors and pastels. The slit adds a good bit of mobility since apparently pencil skirts can sometimes feel a bit restrictive, and she mentioned that the high waist sits comfortably without rolling down during the day. The main thing to note before buying is the thickness of the fabric. The material is a little on the thin side. While the darker blue color keeps it from being see-through, it doesn't offer the structure or heavier drape you might expect from a traditional suit skirt. It feels more like a lightweight stretch knit rather than a heavy professional weave. It works great for warmer days or a more casual office setting, and she has been happy with the fit, but just keep the material thickness in mind if you are expecting something heavier, because that, it is not.

Let me say right now that I feel this is generously sized so my larger ladies, this might work for you, it does for me. The hip measurement for the XXL is 41.73 inches. My current hip measurement across the widest part of my hips and what you see in the photo is 54 inches which is a disparity of, I believe if my math is right, around 12 inches, iow 12 inches larger around the hips for the XXL than stated. I do have some slack in the fabric at the front so it fits well, not too tight and certainly not loose. I would take that into account when ordering and order a size down and if you are a smaller person maybe order two sizes down. I can sit comfortably in this skirt, it doesn't ride up and in my opinion this would be a great office skirt, get that pencil look without being in misery. We should all be comfortable at work. This skirt is well constructed and the fabric is completely opaque. I tried this on without shapewear. This is a beautiful shade of green and I'm excited to wear it paired with my oversized white seersucker blouse, I think that will be simple, cute, and comfortable. Could also be an awesome autumn look with a nice cami, maybe some lace at the neckline, and a slim cardigan and then morph into Christmas with a spangly sweater of some kind for the holidays. Just throwing some ideas out there, I think this is a quality garment that is well worth the money and I do believe it comes in several other colors as well.

A Cute, Very Versatile, Form Fitting Pencil Skirt, With a Sexy Back Slit This is a really versatile Pencil Skirt, that will go with about any top you can think of and not look out of place. The skirt is made of high quality medium thickness material that is not see through at all. The fabric is super soft and stretchy making it form fitting but not too tight and has a generous elastic waist band that keeps the skirt in place all day. Fitment is perfect in a size XL with a high waist helping to conceal a little belly fat and landing just above the knee. The pencil skirt design is a timeless classic and the back slit gives you freedom of movement but also gives the skirt undeniable sex appeal. This piece has no reason to be tucked away in the back of the closet, this can be worn to work, outings, dinners and can be mixed and matched with an unlimited amount of tops that this skirt should be kept in continual rotation. I whole heartedly believe that this skirt is an unbelievable value... I have tried numerous skirts that carried a MUCH higher price tag that were made with half the material thickness, and didn't carry nearly the quality in design and workmanship that this does.
