Reminds me a lot of the texture you get out of the eye black sticks, kind of greasy feeling, but what's to expect with costume makeup? It layers pretty well and isn't near as sticky as most of these makeups are. I adore the packaging, just a pretty and spooky design.

This paint is amazing to paint with if you have different brushes and you're not going anywhere or going to touch it. The application is easy and a little goes a long way. It is easy to paint over other colors. The paint is super smooth like gel. The negative is I never could get it to dry. It is easy to clean off your skin and didn't stain but did smudge after a while of wearing when I went to test it, but didn't itch at all. Texturally it's pretty good by grease paint standards and the black and red have pretty good pigmentation . The white is just OK, even after building it up some it is still kind of sheer. It's not as sticky as other face paints I've tried so I like it.

I'm only going to be using this for Halloween costumes and occasional face painting so don't need a lot, but this is plenty of these three colors for me. This face paint is decent and does a pretty good job for the price. It’s easy enough to apply and stays on well. It’s a nice compact size and there is enough to do your face two or three times depending on how much you are using and what style you are painting. This face and body paint kit is great! You get a trio of paints: black, white and gray. They also provide you with a fine tipped brush and three sponges for application. I used only what came in this kit to create my skeleton make up, and I think it turned out decent considering that it was my first attempt with something of the sort and that I really cannot see well without my glasses. Either way, do not attribute any flaws with my make up with the product itself, because the product is awesome. My only complaint would be that I would like for there to be a brush for each color like there is a sponge for each color. Or perhaps for the sponges to come to a point for more detailed application. But the paint itself coats and blends very well and has a nice, lasting effect. It is, I think, an oil based paint kit and so it takes a couple of washes to remove, but that is to be expected. I used use a washcloth and some mild soap with a little bit of effort and it worked. I am happy to say that I have a lot of paint remaining after doing the one face make up so I will be able to recreate and improve my work and I think that, with this awesome kit, I could be a pretty impressive skeleton for Halloween. My son is dressing up as Mario for Halloween and he is obsessed with wearing a Mario mustache! We have a ton of Halloween events coming up that he'll dress up for, so I figured some face paint would be a good alternative to buying tons of the fake mustaches with the adhesive on the back. At first glance, this face paint is great! It is packaged perfectly & comes with a small bush & a set of applicators. In order to test it out, I painted a mustache on my son & he LOVED it. He was so obsessed. I told him not to touch it and to let it dry. He ran off to play and about 30 minutes later, I noticed that he had smudged it. I walked over to check - and his mustache was still wet and sticky (as if I'd just painted it on). I let him wear it for another 30 minutes before checking again - and still, it hadn't dried. Eventually we just wiped it off because I was worried it was going to end up on my couch. I see in the listing that it suggest "sealing with a setting powder", so I guess I'll have to get some and try it (if it needs sealed with a setting powder though, I wish they had included some - seems like an incomplete deal - but maybe I'm just not "IN" on the face-paint world.) ... show more

He always wants me to create scary faces for him around Halloween time and this is far better than the little sets we purchased at Walmart. This is highly pigmented, layers withoout blending in too easily and washes off without any staining. I would recommend using powder to set as it can remain a bit tacky if you put it on thickly in any areas. Great product! ... show more
