    • Cheap but functionally
The instructions are a nightmare to follow because the pieces were all either mislabeled or lacked any labeling. You also have to be super careful to shove the little dowels into the non-side wall pieces far enough to ensure they don't damage he wall but not so far that they don't connect to the sidewall. In the end, the table has 2 cracks where the dowels ruined the sidewalls but the table is functional. I wouldn't buy it again though, it wasn't worth the frustration of piecing it together. I'm good at puzzles and good at furniture assembly but assembling this had me downright sad, I was afraid I had thrown money completely down the drain at at least 5 different points in time throughout it. Only if we were in a fantasy world where this came with free (and mistake-free) installation, I'd buy it again. ... show more

I have put a lot of furniture together but this one takes the cake. Took me 3 hours. I managed to do it alone and without a drill. Some parts were not labeled and instructions were vague. Really had to study the drawings to figure it out. Some pre-drilled holes did not line up so be aware. Decent enough for particle board. Had a crack in one piece. This cabinet is exactly what I was looking for in my ‘new’ art and craft room. It used to be a spare bedroom but it is now a room that I can use everyday. This cabinet is not too wide, but the work area is generous for its size. It is a a well made, solid piece of furniture. The design is just right for a small space. *Update on second order* Let me start by saying I thought Ikea particle board was the cheapest MDF could get but nope!!!. As far as quality I don't think it gets any lower than this one. This product has so much potential but the parts look quite flimsy & cheap. I have to say I'm mystified that a company would waste time engineering such a cleverly designed product and then turn around & build it with the cheapest materials possible along with shipping it in a cardboard wrapper so paper thin and fragile it's essentially the equivalent of a paper bag with the thinnest shrink wrap plastic wrapped around it. Just insanely inadequate for something that is 88lbs and dimensions the height of an adult. My order arrived with multiple gouges in the packaging where you could see right through to the product itself. It is a mystery it all arrived in one peice. I take it the shipper handled it this time around like it was a newborn baby since I had a shipment of the same item prior and it had to be sent back to the company because it was damaged in transit. I just got around to assessing the parts listed and one part arrived broken. Part S7A which is the gas piston for the leg of the table. I assumed it was broken before it was even shipped since this part was inside of a smaller undamaged box inside of the main package. Because the packaging box is so soft and thin it fell apart while trying to remove the items from it making it nearly impossible to return this item back in its original package. I am now stuck waiting to hear back on how to move forward given the fact that I have this damaged part. This was a disaster from beginning to end....very unhappy. I have ordered a replacement...I will update this review if I have better luck the second time around. ... show more

Opened the box and the two major sides were split literally in half super upset because I waited to put it together until I had a spot to put it and now I can’t return it or exchange it. Make sure you open it right away. Also crazy that the two major sides that hold literally the entire thing together would be that fragile so kinda glad I didn’t start packing it up with fragile items before I found out the sides have a tendency to split. ... show more

I love the cabinet. Just need to be careful of the hinges when lowering the table. They're screwed into particle wood so wouldn't take abuse. Other than that, I love it.
