I purchased these shorts after seeing them on Instagram and checking that the reviews were good. They are comfortable and come with a liner (not a full spandex short underneath). I'm about 5'8", 165lbs, with an athletic build (I have muscular thighs and a butt) and the large fits me perfectly. They have one zippered pocket on the left side but I don't use pockets so that didn't matter to me. However, I finally was able to exercise in them this morning, instead of just wearing them for leisure, and if you're looking for a short that doesn't ride up between your thighs, these are NOT IT. Within a few minutes I was already trying to pull them down and once I started sweating, forget it. Overall I would recommend them because otherwise they are very comfortable and flattering, but if you're looking specifically for a short that doesn't ride up, look for another pair. ... show more

I loved the pockets, they easily fit my phone which sometimes is hard to find in athletic shorts. I love that the waist band is high and doesn’t roll/fold over when wearing them. They fit my legs great, the only downfall is the recommended size was a medium and it was a tad tight on my waist. I am 5’5 with a curvier body type especially in my hip area. I am apple-shaped-- I gain in my stomach and not really in my thighs like pear-shaped people do. I think you might love these shorts if you are pear-shaped. I ordered them because I thought the fitted waist with the wider band would help me avoid a muffin top. Instead, the butt and thigh area were huge. The back actually hung lower than the front because I didn't fill that part up. I don't feel that ordering a small (I bought a medium-- 126 pounds 5'2"--and a medium is my go-to size to avoid shorts being tight in the waist). I still give these shorts a 4 star because they were nice, just not for my shape. I typically have a lot of issues with shorts riding up, I am wider in the hips but smaller in the waste so I struggle to find clothes that work. I am also very active in CrossFit, so my legs are bigger. These shorts not only fit comfortably around my legs, they also snug my waist perfectly. Hands down BEST workouts shorts I have ever worn! They are so comfy and flattering. After buying 1 pair and wearing them for the first time, I immediately ordered 7 other colors. They are so wonderful just to wear out and about as well. They go a little longer in the back which is great because there is booty coverage and you don’t have to worry about flashing anyone when you bend over! I had been looking for high waisted shorts. I bought the blue shorts first and it was instant love. Super high waisted with a big pocket that fits my iphone 13 plus keys and the perfect seam length. So I ordered a second pair immediately. However the second pair was a tad disappointing. The waist band and was not as wide as the first pair and the pocket was much smaller and stitched backwards. I love these. They are a little longer in back than the front( perfect if you have a little tush). The lining is a nice touch, and the zip pocket on one side is fabulous for holding a cellphone and keyes. The waistband is a little snug but not bad. Definitely getting a few more pairs.
