  • Blundstones are the GOAT
Size: 7 US Men / 9 US Women / 6 AU Color: Black
I got these at a too-good-to-be-true price so I was skeptical that they were real Blundstones. I went for it because I figured either they’re authentic but a great deal, or fake and I could return them. Turns out they’re actual Blundstones and I was super pleased at the price I scored. I love Blundstones and these are the 4th pair I’ve owned. They’re cute, pair with everything, comfy, supportive, just about waterproof if you oil them occasionally, great for all seasons, have almost no break in time usually, and the insoles can be removed to be laundered or replaced. I’ve used them for serving and they’re maybe not as slip resistant as true kitchen shoes but close enough for the job. I’ve gone hiking in them (after they’re well broken in). I wear them all winter with the snow and slush. I traveled with them without looking as much like a tourist wearing hiking shoes, and they kept my feet dry in soggy Scotland. They’re expensive (if you don’t find a deal somewhere, REI Used usually has some) but absolutely worth the cost. Couple tips: • Australian sizing is different. Whole sizes = length. Half sizes = wide. I wear a women’s US 9/equivalent to a men’s US 7, so that translates to a unisex AUS 6. If I needed a 9 wide, I’d order AUS 6.5. (Extra tip: if you need a wide size, get “used” because those will usually be new but people didn’t understand the sizing system.) As for my fit, these fit as described. I always wear a 9, these fit like a normal 9. They don’t run narrow. • They should be a little bit tight across the top of your foot initially. Leather stretches, so give it a little time but it won’t take long. Just wear them when you’re at home if you have to break them in. Or wear thick socks and then point a blow drier at them to stretch them quickly. They will not stretch lengthwise though, that just means you need a different size. • I find that quarter crew socks or higher work best. Cheap ankle socks will just fall down in the boot, and the back of the heel/ankle will be sweaty against the bare leather. Wool socks are worth the cost and wick moisture way better than any cotton sock, especially in a shoe without some kind of ventilation. I love Darn Toughs. • Oil them. It doesn’t need to happen all that often, but it will greatly extend their lifespan as well as maintain the waterproofing. They’re expensive, so it’s worth the time and effort. I use a neutral-colored mink oil. • The way these wear out (for me) is that the leather gets way too loose and I need to keep adding inserts to take up the extra space. Eventually, a hole wears through at the side where my little toe joint is (that doesn’t stick out for everyone though.) It isn’t that the seam comes undone, it’s a wear spot in the leather itself. My first pair lasted almost 5 years of near daily use. ... show more

  • Great boots
Size: 6 US Men / 8 US Women / 5 AU Color: Black
I love these boots, bought for a trip where I basically had to pick one option for footwear for ~6wks travel (with a lot of city walking) and they held up great and worked great for my feet. I will definitely say that it's a good thing I had time to build up walking time and break them in beforehand because they were very stiff at the start, though, worth considering if you're buying them for immediate wear. I've polished them twice over the past year, and they still look brand new despite the amount they get worn. ... show more

  • Very happy with purchase
Size: 9.5 Women/7 Men Color: Brown Leather Stout
I’ve had my blundstonws for 4 years now and they’re still like new. They’re a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. I wear mine for everyday rainy/snowy PA weather and out hiking- I’ve never had a wet foot. They’re also very comfortable and stay on well considering there are no laces. Definitely plan to buy another pair if my current pair ever wear out. ... show more

  • Great leather and comfort
Size: 14 US Men / 16 US Women / 13 AU Color: Stout Brown
I usually buy Red Wing's or Danner's but I wanted something more comfortable. These boots feel like a running shoe and a work boot had a baby. They are also waterproof. I washed them off with the water hose and my feet stayed dry. I did add some high-arch insoles because I thought the original insoles were lacking in that area. They are true to size like a tennis shoe. Work boots usually run a 1/2 size to a 1 whole size large. That is not the case here. The leather is the nicest of any of my boots. It is smooth and silky to the touch and have yet to crease with 2 weeks of daily wear. I also love that the 500 series are unlined whereas the 550's have a fabric lining. The unlined leather breathes and keeps my feet dry and odor free. I only wish they offered more colors. I bought the stout brown and they are almost black. It's a great color that is very versatile and can be worn with most any color. ... show more

  • Not the hard-wearing farm boot of my Aussie youth
Size: 11.5 US Men / 13.5 US Women / 10.5 AU Color: Stout Brown
I grew up on a farm and we got hand-me-down Blundstone boots from our older farm cousins. And when we outgrew them we handed them down to other farm kids. They lasted beyond what us kids could get up to in them. That was when they were still Australian made. These are no longer work boots. Maybe they’re no longer designed as work boots but more as a fashion shoe for the streets of Sydney and London etc. I’ve been wearing these boots since about May 2021 (about a year and a half). I ordered them through Amazon USA and had them shipped to the Philippines and I wear them for a few hours each morning on our farm. As you can see they have rotten soles and the sole is actually detaching from the leather of the boot. On both of the shoes. Absolutely useless. And I was an idiot who purchased a second pair as a backup and have obviously wasted a lot of money. My pirated Birkenstock and Croc slippers that I buy for about $5 here in the Philippines have outlasted a pair of $200 “work boots”. Don’t make the same mistake, these are not work boots. If I lived USA I would have returned them but the cost of shipping them back from here is just not worth it. ... show more
