I've had this mic for a few years now and it's worked great the entire time. It has had really good sound quality that hasn't diminished over time and it's small and compact so it doesn't take up too much space my desk. I also love the blue steel look. My one big complaint though is that the USB port on the mic where the cable plugs in sucks. The cable slips out just enough to disconnect the mic but still have power to have the light on so it looks like it's on and connected but doesn't actually work. I am constantly having to unplug and replug in the cable and if I so much as slightly bump it or breathe wrong near it, I have to start over. And there's no way to tape the cable in place so it doesn't slip out either. I have a small desk and it sits close enough to me to be bumped on a regular basis and I'm sure if I could get a boom stand for it I'd have fewer problems with the cable slipping out. This is a Christmas gift for my son who does a lot of group gaming. I took it for a practice run to make sure it was functioning during a class I teach. The quality and clarity of sound were excellent. Recommend this microphone for the cost.

I purchased this microphone *twice* and the product quality just isn't there. First purchase in December '22: Sound quality was always static-y and grainy. Figured something was broken so I ordered a replacement and received it promptly. As suspected, the replacement microphone had great sound quality and functioned well. However less than 60 days after purchase it's started cutting out intermittently. It sometimes can run fine for hours and hours, but sometimes less than 15 minutes after starting a meeting or recording it will simply cut-out and offer no connection. Usually a hard reset (unplugging and re-plugging) will make it work fine again. I've tested in other computers and it seems to run the same issue. Not sure what's driving it, but seeing as I've made two orders and both have had quality-control driven issues, I would avoid this item. ... show more
