If you have lights on behind you they do cause somewhat annoying glare in the lens, but my desktop is rather dark with most monitors under an enclosed shelf. I wear like a 7.5-7.7" hat and these are pretty tight on me. I've tried to stretch them a bit but to little or no avail. I don't want to break the hinges. Definitely do help me fight nausea and fall asleep after late night sessions better.
