Our Chihuahua Petey all but stopped eating dry dog food after several years. We started making his food and at first he loved it. But then he started treating it like dry dog food. A couple of months ago we gave this a try and have been buying it ever since. The only thing is he's 4.5 pounds and eats two of these per day, morning and evening. Specifically with the “chunky” not the paté texture. First time this happened so at least giving 3 stars for that reason only. Ordered during colder months so heat wasn't a factor( on my end). Brought box in home and placed in pantry unopened. Next day , opened box and holy cow it hit me. The rancid smell was one of the worst smells I have ever experienced. It wasn't just leaking everywhere , it was also rancid. There was goo all over every single container. The culprit was the very last container that was swollen and leaking. It leaked all over the place. I immediately put in trash and had to take trash out of house and to outside container trying not to gag. Had to wash all other containers but the smell permeated into them, and threw the whole batch out. The entire downstairs reeked for 3 days after cleaning all surfaces, trash can, shelves, anything it could have possibly touched in kitchen (was already a clean kitchen prior).
