This worked well on my kitchen island! The wood is slightly rough, which makes it a catch-all for dust or lint. I usually take a vacuum attachment to it for cleaning purposes.

It's such low and cheap quality material, if you put ANYTHING in there that can catch a stay fiber, it will and it will leave splinters. If you do decide to buy this, make sure you also buy a semi coarse grit sandpaper and a wood oil (I used mineral oil, but I suggest a classic linseed oil) to make sure the surface is smoothed over and the wood is protected. ... show more
