I don’t remember the last time I wore a bikini and bared my midsection, but let’s just say it’s been quite a while. I was quite apprehensive when I ordered this and tried it on, so it was a very pleasant surprise to find that it had a really flattering style and fit. The bottoms are a solid color (mine are an attractive shade of slate blue) and they come down slightly in the center front into a subtle point with gathering/ruching around the waistband. This helps create a visual slimming effect and a very flattering waist line. The bottoms are also high waisted without being overly so. The point ends just under my belly button and I’m 5’4”. The top is white with pinstripes in the same color as the bottoms and it is also very flattering. It has full coverage in the cups, which is great for women with a larger bust and the shoulder straps cross in the back with a bottom band that ties in the back. I really liked the cut of the top and the coverage that it gave me in the bust area. It’s cute and doesn’t feel frumpy, but also doesn’t leave me feeling self-conscious about being too exposed. The one small complaint I have is that the bottom band that ties in the back is very long, which leaves a lot of extra fabric from the ties hanging down in back I suppose I could tuck the ends in, but I think these easily could’ve been made a couple inches shorter. Finally, the shoulder straps have an adjustable gold accent that adds a pretty touch and elevates the look of the swimsuit. The fabric of the suit has good stretch and thickness. For me, the back of the bottoms was cut just a little narrower than I’d like so I find myself adjusting them, but everywhere else I’m very happy with the cut. The top provides decent support, however the pads inside the cups are not stitched down, which is one of my pet peeves because they inevitably get bunched up and shift out of place. I use one of the little micro stitch tools to tack the pads in place and that definitely helps. Although it isn’t swimsuit season right now I’m actually looking forward to wearing this one in the upcoming summer, which I wouldn’t have thought possible!

This swimsuit is adorable. The bottoms are solid with a coordinating bra top. The bottoms are a perfect fit while the top is a tab bit too small. The bottoms have a brilliant design that is very flattering to the tummy, but I don’t feel any type of tummy control. The construction of the bra top makes it clumsy to put on. The strap configuration is awkward to put on and then tie the back straps. I’m proportioned pretty evenly as far as hips and bust so I feel like the top should have slightly bigger cups. That being said, the fabric is soft and comfortable with the right amount of stretch. Overall a cute suit, but the strap configuration and bra size could be improved.
