The cushion of the bag is very useful. It is very light and can effectively prevent the pants from getting wet. This bag is also very lightweight, foldable and can be put into other bags for easy carrying. This bag was given as a gift to my husband and he likes it very much.

This is a nice hunting/camping backpack, although there is a listing error where it does NOT include the hydration pouch (water bag) shown in several of the photos. It DOES include the seat pad and rain cover. I contacted the seller about it and they responded in minutes, offering a small refund and explaining that it does not come with the hydration pouch, although not quite enough to purchase a pouch separately if you were counting on having one. The bag is still built to support a hydration flask with the hose exit hole, clips on the straps for the spout, and internal hanging clips. I would have deducted more than one star for the inaccurate listing if the bag itself wasn't so great. There is a great deal of space inside. Although it's a tight fit, I can get my ultralight tent, sleeping bag, ground cloth and inflatable sleeping pad all inside. If I strap the tent to the outside - which you can easily do with nothing additional thanks to all the external bungee string - then there's a ton of space inside for other gear, except you can no longer fit the rain fly over the object(s) strapped to the outside. It has a waist strap to transfer weight onto your hips and a chest strap with some elastic to maintain the pack in the proper position. The adjustable webbing straps are all very long. It could easily fit somebody twice my size (fat outdoorsmen rejoice!); there is so much spare dangling webbing I'm thinking of cutting off the extra and restitching the ends. Each side of the waist strap also has a small pocket accessible while wearing, good for items *smaller* than a phone, such as a lighter or granola bar.
