I had ordered just one the other day. Just placed an order for a second one. Reviews state bath charge slow, well my first one came at 30% charge, dropped to 25% overnight. Charged to 60% during the day, if it started out with a full charge it would've been fully charged by noon. Detection range at first didn't detect people walking by, I raised the angle upwards where sidewalk is near dead center, had to turn so automobile render off, it detects everything and the street 60 feet away. And it will detect people across the street 100' away. I'm a happy camper and color night vision too. 😊

I live in Lubbock, TEXAS, where sunshine is definitely not in short supply. Sunny days are the norm here year-round, and these solar panels receive 8+ hours of DIRECT sunlight every single day. According to Blink’s own instructions, the Solaris unit requires approximately 45 minutes of direct sunlight per day to maintain battery power and gradually build the battery to a full charge. I understand that this isn’t supposed to happen overnight—the battery percentage should increase over the course of days or weeks with continued exposure to direct sunlight. That simply has not been my experience. I purchased six Blink Outdoor 2K cameras and two Solaris solar panel units. Despite both Solaris units receiving more than 8 hours of direct Texas sunlight every day—far exceeding the stated requirement—the battery level will not charge beyond approximately 20%. Even worse, one of the Solaris units completely died. I only discovered it when I opened the Blink app to check the camera and realized it was no longer functioning. If 8+ hours of direct West Texas sunlight every day isn't enough to keep these units charged, I genuinely don't know what conditions would be. I’m extremely disappointed, especially after investing in six Blink cameras and two of these solar units. At this point, the performance is so far removed from what Blink describes that it makes me wonder how thoroughly this product was actually tested under real-world conditions before being released for sale. A solar panel that receives eight hours of direct sunlight but still can't keep a camera charged defeats the entire purpose of buying one.

Easy to set up, just remember if you already have the camera and you purchase the solar attachment to remove the batteries from your original camera.

It has only been a few weeks, and so far the results are promising. A small amount of light is required for color night vision recording.

Absolute garbage. Blink makes the local storage option so unnecessarily painful, that if you don't plan on paying monthly, find a different option. The Solaris solar panel never fully charged, no matter what steps were taken, and then it stopped registering all together. It's just poorly designed. The camera is supposed to be an upgrade from the outdoor 4. It isn't. The infrared video quality is awful. It records 3 seconds of motion, then 2-3 seconds of frozen screen, the motion, then frozen, for the length of the video. Most of the time you miss what set it off because of that. It records whatever length video it feels like, regardless of the settings. IT died 32 days after I received it. Such a shame cause I've had good luck with the outdoor 4 cameras... besides the unnecessary local storage lag...

This replaced the old style camera with solar charger. The picture is clearer but the range is greatly reduced. I expected it to have improved range. I suspect the range would be improved with the sync unit that has antenna. Just for information everything is the same except for the solaris. It took me too long to determine the improvements or problems so I can't return it.

It works out very good. I can put security cameras outside that electric power 🔌 can not reach. It's worth it. Easy setup and mounting always good video quality on my "Outdoor 2K" upgrade from "Outdoor 4" to 2K much better now.
