Does not work as advertised. Only added 25 feet of range to my original sync module. THE AI CHAT BOT FOR BLINK SAYS ITS ONLY 400 FT RANGE. Not 1700 like advertised and definitely not more than that. Absolute garbage. 8 days of pulling cameras up and down and reset and repair for them to not even show online.

Significantly extends the range, coming from a Sync 2. I went from barely connecting at 80 feet in fully open air, to 100 feet but also buried within a barn feed room (on XR mode, not XR+). It helps that the the Sync can be placed outside as well.

i had the first gen and it worked decent. i wanted this newer unit to get a little more robust coverage into the garage where the camera is. this new unit does not offer any stronger coverage than the older sync module, and I can't justify the cost. Also, i think it is a waste to include a camera -- At least sell the unit sans camera.

Got excited for this because I needed 800' to my gate, and the advertised range is 1700' worst case, however in the app it's only saying works to 1300'. I should still be good though right? Open air, only trees between my camera and sync, and only half the distance? Oops not quite. Only reliable for 700' so still not able to watch my gate entrance. I'd give 3 stars for the trouble, but dropping to 2 for the blatant incorrect advertising when the app and website differ by 25% with real-world use at <50%. See picture for app described distances. Like others, mine now has worked great for first week and now no cameras will remain connected. Blink selling fundamentally flawed product.

I was hesitant that these would actually work for the distance that they claim you could place them, but to my surprise, they are true to their word. I highly recommend them if you need coverage that is a long distance away from your WiFi router. We placed our cameras 600' away. Attached is a picture of how far away our cameras are placed.

This Blink Outdoor XR+ camera system works well when everything is connected properly. The picture is clear enough, the setup is fairly simple, and I do like the idea of having an outdoor wireless camera without a lot of extra hassle. When it is working, it does what I need it to do and gives me a decent sense of security. My issue is that the extended range does not seem to live up to what it claims. I was expecting a noticeable improvement, but I still have connection and range issues that make it frustrating to rely on. At this point, I am honestly considering switching to Ring because I need something more dependable. It is not a terrible camera, but the range claim was a letdown for me.
