This was the first paint-by-number that I did and the end result was amazing. It was challenging to see, even with my readers on, but in the end, I did a great job. I love that there is a paper map too, so if you are second-guessing what a number is on the canvas, you can refer to the map. This kit was beautiful when complete but it was missing the greens needed for the leaves and very dark gray was sent instead. I mixed my own greens using a different kit and adding a touch of black. I mixed a couple of my own pinks as well because the ones included wouldn't act right no matter how much acrylic paint medium was added. They acted like fingernail polish, is the best way I can describe it. There are missing numbers as well on both the guide and the canvas so I had to guess the best I could. I started this paint by number a couple weeks ago and it provided hours of enjoyment. Paint was decent enough quality and the brushes provided were good. It looked a bit intimidating when I unrolled it but turned out great! Just trust the process and use a couple coats of each color

I’m not sure if it was an error but the colors don’t always match. For example 18 & 19 are the same exact color when they should be green and black, and the purple isn’t the same as in the picture. So like the leaves / flowers in the bottom right section don’t match the photo. However the other flowers where the colors match are perfect. ... show more

SInce i had ordered paint-by-numbers before and they were always on framed canvas I assumed this one was, but was a bit disappointed that it was folded. You would probably have to iron this before painting. I would also probably frame it first, to make things easier. Its a fantastic design but that's my only issue. This canvas is fine for a beginner. There is a mix of really big spaces and small spaces, but nothing microscopic. The canvas, brushes, and paint are of standard quality for paint by number kits like this. I've done a ton of these kits and they are all about the same. It is possible to get a nice painting using the provided brushes. You may need to trim some stray hairs from the brushes, but this is normal for the blue handled brushes. If you plan on doing a lot of these, you might consider a few of your own brushes and there are beginner brushes that are really economically priced. The paints are standard quality also. They aren't too thick and they aren't too thin. Several colors will need a few coats, and this is completely normal. The orange and two lighter colors definitely needed at least two coats. I used an acrylic paint pen to go over the numbers to help them disappear when using these colors. The reference sheet is a little blurry but it's still big enough to be helpful if you lose your place or make a mistake. The color reference is too small, faded and blurry to be of any use, so I only use this to identify which kits I've finished in a scrapbook. The canvas comes folded so you might need to gently iron the back. I typically don't iron out the wrinkles and by the time I'm done painting, the canvas has flattened. I don't deduct stars for this unless the canvas is cracked at the fold lines. For those who are trying to avoid AI art, I do think that this picture is AI generated. ... show more

When I was a child (early to mid 90s) I loved doing those color by number books that were really popular back then. That's basically the same thing, except this is paint instead of crayons. The advertised picture caught my eye as it's so beautiful. The colors of the paint are a little dull compared to how the final picture is supposed to look, so I used my own paint in similar shades and my own brushes since the included brushes are pretty cheaply made. I used a medium size round brush and fiber detail brushes for the smaller detailed spots. The canvas seems to be well made and the paint (both the included paint and my own) absorbs into/onto the canvas. There are a lot of smaller details on this picture, so I'm only halfway done, but it's really pretty so far. Whenever I'm finished, I'll update my review with a picture of the completed painting. I'll definitely purchase additional paint by number paintings and continue to paint them. ... show more
