I am always skeptical of budget, aftermarket tools, hardware, and maintenance kits for my bike because my life literally depends in the gear functioning 100%. I can say with zero doubt that this bleed kit works flawlessly as advertised, and is actually much better than the OEM Bleed Kit from Shimano. The funnel and removable stopper work perfectly, the syringe and bleed tube are better quality that the Shimano one. I prefer how this bleed tube is more flexible; making it easier to put onto the bleed port nipple. The mineral oil looks and smells just like Genuine Shimano Mineral Oil as well. The last touch that truly sets this kit above the Shimano kit is the inclusion of 2 velcro straps to cinch down your levers (useful for getting stubborn air bubbles out of the line) and an awesomely designed caliper block that allows for perfect centering of the brake caliper after the bleed is complete. Save some money and buy this kit instead of the over priced and unerwhelming Shimano OEM kit. NOTE: only comes with enough fluid for 1 good brake bleed, so make sure to buy more if you are olanning on doing more than one brake. ... show more

This kit was well made and easy to use. I had my brakes up and running in about 15 minutes. The kit comes with everything you need to put your brakes back in proper working order.

I am the only sucker on this one. $4 dollars worth of material. Handbrake cup didn’t fit. Rip off. Update: The company reached out to me and offered to send me a different kit. There is no standard on these kits so it is not enough to consider road bike versus mountain bike. Not sure if every brand uses the same design and different fastener sizes but my bike's brakes are actually a Tektro brand. I didn't know what I was looking at since every other thing on the bike says Shimano. I thought that meant the group set was Shimano and that included the brakes of which Tektro was a model within Shimano. Anyway, be sure and pay careful attention to the actual brake manufacturer and don't be confused by the group set brand. Not sure how many brake manufacturers there are but RSN took care of me on this one. ... show more

    • Awesome bleed kit
I do all my own bike maintenance.And bleeding brakes is an essential task. The job of bleeding can be easy (shimano) or hard (avid/sram) I got rid of my old Avid because the bleeding process was so nasty. Now I only have on.y shamano brakes on my bikes and bleeding is easy. This kit is good because it has all of the things you need without anything superfluous. They have a few different quality levels of kits, and I found that even the basic kit is perfectly good. There are generic kits available on amazon which i personally would avoid. They have a whole lot of stuff you don't need and quality is often poor. If you have shimano, just get a shimano kit only. ... show more

    • Superb kit for fixing hydraulic brakes
I accidentally opened my hydronic brake line and lost pressure in my right brake. I’d never fixed one before, so I ordered this kit. It turns out it was the wrong size for the fluid cup and my bottom fluid compartment wasn’t compatible with the filling system. But the cup has a nice sealing ring on it, which I just pressed firmly against the surface and help with a strap. And then I just used the connector but from the hose to feed into the bottom (watch online videos for fluid replacement), and it worked great!!! I was so impressed that a cheap kit like this could work so well. Recommend buying it, and if it doesn’t fit, just make it work! ... show more

    • Not bad but not good either
It was a bad purchase on my part. I will only buy factory kits from here on out. Yes it’s a bit cheaper but the quality suffers. Don’t get me wrong it’ll work but the shimano kit is so much nicer and the syringe actually works smoothly
