Sturdy construction, easy to put together(just the handles), looks great, protects the surface. Pro's: Easy to install Sturdy, not thin Protects the cook top Protects from water and dampness Cons: Nothing at this time. In the end, I did not attach the lid to the unit. I just set it on the side when the grill is in use. This item helps to retain the cleanliness of the cooktop. This allows for less maintenance as at times the grill covers allow moisture in and such, so this is double protection so you don't have to re-season the grill top as much. Great unit.
