The media could not be loaded. Works great but its a little wobbly when unfolded. I assume its supposed to lock in place a little more. Ordered a new one to resolve the issue and its still a tad loose but no where near the defected one i got.

Well-made net, easy to use and light - light enough to carry while carrying gear down trails and paths to shorelines for fishing. Capable of landing good sized fish - 8-10 pounders for sure. Good buy.

I’ve only used the net once or twice. I would not trust the integrity of the net unless I am catching fish 3 pounds and under, I can see the handle bend when it’s open without any additional weight. Additionally, the locking mechanism for when the net is folded is already broken.

This fishing net is convenient because it can fold into a compact size. No more worrying about space saving tactics to get all your gear to fit in the car. It has a telescoping handle with a bungee style cord that can be clipped onto something (i.e. your belt or a hook on a boat). The handles have comfortable foam grips in two areas. They rest in convenient locations that one would likely hold a fishing net. The net conveniently floats if it is dropped in the water due to sewn in foam rolls located along mesh head. It has a cloth material measuring strip inside the middle of the net that starts at 0 at the center and ends at 14 on both ends of the net. This is convenient for measuring the length of a caught fish without needing to take out a ruler. The adjustable mesh head is a little inconvenient because you need to loosen the handle in order to adjust the mesh head and handle angle, then tighten the handle to keep the position intact. However, I have noticed that the handle sometimes gets loose on its own and the net/handle would either create a lower acute angle or a much higher obtuse angle than intended. This could be fixed by tightening the handle more than you want/think is needed, but it may become harder to loosen later. Otherwise, this fishing net works great for our fishing trips.

A while back I searched Bass Pro for their best collapsible net, and then bought it for my adult son. It was a nice net, but this Black Paw fishing net is more than twice as nice as Bass Pro’s best. The collapsible and removable handle allows me to pack up the entire net in a flat 14” x 16” package. The rubber-coated, snag-free net is both easy on the fish and easy on the fisherman. Two foam grips on the handle give positive control and make the net a dream to use. Oh, and it floats too. Best part – it’s half the price of my son’s Bass Pro collapsible net. You can bet I’m keeping this Black Paw net for myself.
