Description

Size:1/2ft x 5ft Every material VViViD Vinyl offers is either a CAST or Polymeric material. Cast vinyl is stable when applied to a surface. It holds no tension, whereas calendared vinyl harbours up to 25%. Calendared vinyl is made by processing a mass of vinyl through rollers and stretching it over hundreds of feet. Therefore when applied to a curved surface such as a car, calendared vinyl will shrink back causing curling, peeling and cracking. In contrast, VViViD's cast vinyl starts off as a liquid and is poured onto a sheet and baked. This means the cast was never stretched to begin with and will stay in place for the life of the vinyl.When cast vinyl is accidentally creased or stretched, you can heat it and it will return to its original form without creases or stretch marks. Polymeric offers the same advantage. It has been heated/treated and pre-stretched allowing for a cast-like application.

To all the comments/ rating from the other buyers....and people hesitant in buying vvivid vinyl due to (not sticking, quality)..... All Vvivid vinyl wrap has a HEAT ACTIVATED adhesive. When you are installing, heat the vinyl little to stretch/ conform, then when you have it in its final location/ position....heat it to 200-300 degrees to set it. Over the hundreds of different things I have wrapped I NEVER had a problem with vvivid vinyl lifting assuming the item was prepped/ cleaned properly. Also, some people are complaining about streaks in the vinyl.....the need to take the clear protective plastic "skin" that aids for installing and to prevent scratching when handling. After taking of the protective layer, it has no streaks. NOTE: the color is more of a tint of light brown (goldish/ grey to the create black chrome. Not the black chrome like how we all know. This is why I gave this vinyl a 4 star rating instead of 5. If the vinyl was actually closer to black chrome color I would raise my rating in a hear beat. ... show more

Do not order this product! After opening the package that looked to be in good shape from the outside and finding the vinyl wrap completely damaged on in inside I was angry. Looking inside the box (that was way too big for the roll of vinyl wrap) and seeing that it WASN'T inside a cylinder holding it firmly... but in a loose, clear plastic bag that wasn't even fully on the vinyl wrap, nor was it sealed on either end. Next, I pulled it out and inspected everything which was even more of a disappointment when there was only two 1/4" wide pieces of tape holding a 60"x120" vinyl wrap together! So the rest of the areas that didn't have any protection have bent back and creased! Next I inspected all the damages on the vinyl wrap. Two spots where the complete role was bent, damages to the plastic film on the vinyl side and also each end of the wrap where it looks to have some sort of damage and the wax paper is separating from the vinyl glue. This is suppose to go on my Infiniti? No way! If you want a great product, do not order from this company until they have some sort or quality control. I want resolution! Disappointed, ... show more

    • It won’t stick to your car is it has a few curves.

Packaging is sub par. Expect a lot of damage to the edges and maybe even bent. None of these things are a real problem. The real problem is that the adhesive is lacking. It will not really stick making the whole process very time consuming. Best to use 3M prep glue but even that didn’t help much. This was my 3rd wrap installation so I’m a novice. I’ve wrapped brushed Metallic, carbon fiber and regular gloss wraps and this is by far the worst. I am guessing you have to be a professional to make this work. ... show more

I was Looking for a black chrome vinyl to use as a wrap. This black chrome unfortunately has a bronze hue, compared to the typical "silver" or bare metal hue that is common, so I cant use this but I may use it for something else. This is the 2nd wrap I've purchased and the vinyl has come in perfect condition, expect for a little bit of the clear protection cover coming off. ... show more

Like other ppl have said, it does have a gold sheen to it. I thought it was the light in the house until I took it outside. It's more like a copper black chrome than a dark tinted chrome I was expecting. I'm returning this once I can compare it to a sample of VViViD Supercast Conform Chrome Black I just ordered. I've worked with other vvivid xpo vinyl and has been great. just wish this color was true black chrome. ... show more

I use VVIVID products a lot and I am true believer of reviewing and improving products. Black chrome has a gold/rose gold tint to it, my box came broken bent in half, I managed to get what I needed out of it to avoid the return hassle to Canada. Today my customer came back to “show” me how it held up. Just a little less than 5 months. This product needs more improvement or be better described. Extremely hard to install, not comformable to no angles. You may get a good result piecing together with seems but not worth selling this to a client. Go Arlon or Avery if you want chrome. This is not good. Lost money with this. End result tin foil! ... show more

My definition of black chrome appears to be vastly different then theirs... with or without lighting it has almost no shine. Its almost matte or satin instead. Nothing like the pictures. I strongly question if this was a qa issue and I got a plain black role by mistake, however the label on the package clearly says black chrome. I cannot recommend this unless you're looking for a nice matte black. ... show more

I finally got around to wrapping something and I cant believe how bad it looks. The title states Black "Mirror" "Chrome". The main problem I have with those two adjectives is, it is neither mirror nor chrome. It is extremely distorted and bumpy so there would be no way to see any type of clear reflection as a normal mirror or chrome would. I would love to return or get my money back, huge waste if you are searching for actual chrome or mirror wrap! >:( I attached a photo to show you how it will come out regardless of the few bubbles I had. ... show more
