I think this is a nice brush set to have on hand. This would make an excellent set for a beginner to test out brushes and decide which sizes and types they like before investing in a high quality brush. I’ll personally be using it as a travel set of brushes so I don’t have to pack up my usual set up when I’m only going out of town for a day or two. The sheer number of tools you get in this set makes it a really good value at the current price of just under $8. The bristles are soft and the handles are sturdy. I got the pink and you can’t really tell from the listing, but the handles have a glittery sparkle to them. Another reason these would be good for a beginner. The mask applicator is a nice addition as you don’t see that with a lot of sets. All you really need to do is add a pretty brush holder roll and this set will be complete and look pretty and cute on the go.

My makeup routine is fairly simple and I am far from an expert in makeup application techniques. From my perspective these are really great makeup brushes and a GREAT value! The "nicest" brushes I own are a set from Ulta store brand, so that level is my point of reference. I'm using the enclosed reference guide to understand the use of the numerous small brushes for eye shadow application. The smaller brushes do not hold eye shadow quite as well as the Ulta ones; I have to load them up a bit more to get the same amount on my lids. They have not lost bristles though, and the brushes are soft and non-irritating. They do blend very well. The smallest brush has a mascara wand on the end, which is always helpful. I recently purchased some fairly expensive foundation and realized it applied much better with a blending sponge. The sponges included in this set work well but I can tell they won't last through as many washes and re-use as ones you purchase separately. The included spatula is a game changer for me. I'm using it to apply foundation and to do the initial smoothing. I use SO MUCH LESS foundation using this tool! I then go over my face with a sponge to even it out. Overall this is a very good set at this price point. It is worth purchasing to add to your collection some small brushes you don't see often in a set. They aren't the best but they are sufficient. Worth it to me for the foundation spatula alone!

This is a pretty good basic brush set. The value is right for what you’re getting — it’s perfect if you’re just learning how to use makeup or for kids. They aren’t professional-grade or super luxe, but they do the job and are actually cute to have in your collection. The brushes are easy to use and the shape of the heads makes blending and applying products fairly straightforward, even if you’re new to makeup. The bristles are synthetic and soft for the price — nothing pokey or scratchy — and there’s no weird chemical smell like you sometimes get with cheaper brushes. Cleaning them can be a bit of a challenge, depending on what products you’re using. Cream foundations and some pigmented powders tend to stain the bristles even with a good brush cleaner. I’d recommend rinsing them right after use and using a dedicated brush cleanser so the buildup doesn’t stick. Despite that, they hold up okay and don’t shed much during washing. One thing buyers should know is that because these are more basic brushes, they’re not super dense or fluffy like higher-end sets. That’s fine for everyday makeup or practicing techniques, but if you’re looking for heavy buffing or professional-level blending, you might eventually want to upgrade. This set is soft, decent quality, easy to apply with, and pleasant to use, especially for beginners or as a starter kit. If you’re on a budget and just want functional brushes that aren’t terrible, these are a great pick.
