Not a lot of options for bed bars these days in general, much less for an aging platform like the 2nd gen frontier. I wanted somewhere to mount some extra lights, and set my otherwise generic looking truck apart from others, as well as to secure things like camping equipment in the back. I rolled the dice and hoped these would look good on the truck and they do. Construction feels pretty solid, no rust so far. reason for 4 stars is the brake light was missing. going to buy 1 from somewhere, I already had roll bar installed and really looks great just don't want to remove it and send it back for a replacement light

First, let me start by saying I loved the look of this rollbar from the first time I found it on Amazon, it was out of stock when I first found at the time so I waited 7 months before I could purchase it. As you can see in the pictures it looks great from the side, I like the clean design and the brake light was a nice touch. My first issue is the brake light is not sealed well and water gets in and kills it. I am going to replace the LEDs with a strip that is encased in silicone so that is an easy fix so not much of a problem. But I did want to show other frontier owners what they are getting as none of the demo pics are of Nissans. My truck is a 2017 so I don't know if the older frontiers had a more narrow truck bed or they are using the dimensions from a different truck, but if you look at the second picture you can see that the bars are way off center and actually stick out quite alot over the edge. Unlike the pictures provided and how I always assumed it should be. The bar actually bolts onto the L bracket so instead of making a different size bar they just made a different size bracket and it really takes away from the look. Despite all that I still do really like the look of the bar so I kept it, but I do wish that there was a picture to look at before hand as I might have gone with a different one if I knew before I had already started installing it as I am finding a hard time getting a truckbox that will be able to fit and be opened because of the overhanging part of the bar and bracket.. ... show more
