I love this set of silverware. The pieces are much heavier and thicker than what I am used to - but I'm also used to plain, cheap silverware. This silverware doesn't bend easily, though it will still bend if you really try. They aren't heavy enough to be a nuisance, but you know you're holding them. The butter knife's serration is pronounced to just before the point of being sharp. You can run your finger over it without cutting yourself, but I did use one to cut a lemon in half as well. I haven't noticed any unusual wear on any of the pieces we've been using. We do hand wash our dishes, so I don't have the experience of running them through a dishwasher. This set of silverware is also different for me in the fact that it is black. All of my other silverware has always been.... silver. These have a beautifully shiny finish to them. The hammered handles are also a nice, unique touch that you can feel when you're using them but they don't seem to be deep enough to make them difficult to clean. Overall, I love showing off this set of silverware when I have company. They are a very nice set.

I'm not going to get into my opinion about the aesthetics of this, since not everyone's taste matches ours. The quality and quantity, however, make this a VERY nice set, and a good value. One would have to judge, for themselves, whether or not they find this attractive. I, for one, like it. My tastes are not "fancy," and I'm not the type to buy only "name brand." The "designer" is unimportant, to me (or my wife). I don't care what "celebrity" stamps their name on it to sell more units. This is a quality set, at a reasonable price, and it's a 40-piece set that I wouldn't be embarrassed to use at a lunch/dinner gathering. I think it looks GREAT on a white marble table. I don't know from whence the "hammered" descriptor comes, but the look of the texture is somewhat akin to reptilian (which I think is rather cool). The images don't really depict what I saw, on my table... That, however, is the difference between my monitor's image display and real life handling of the flatware. There will not be a shortage, with these, of any individual piece, and would be great for a bachelor that likes this design. Wholehearted four star endorsement.

Having roommates causes your silverware to vanish, so you always end up looking for that spoon. I got this set to add to the mismatched utensils I have. It is decently constructed and keeps its shape - it has a slight bit of flexibility but doesn’t bend completely. It looks sharp and so far, I haven’t had any issues with it becoming discolored or rusting. I can’t speak for how dishwasher safe it is, as my dishwasher broke before i got this set. It washes up nice by hand though. I am very happy with the sturdiness of it and would purchase it again

UPDATE- Been using this regularly and TBH it is hard to tell if it is clean after it dries. It dries with tons of water spots, unless you dry it immediately. I also am worried my cleaning sponge scratches the exterior coating. Just my opinion I have honestly never had a complete set of flatware, ever and i am 54. Most of the stuff i had accumulated over the years were always mismatched from either buying trash stuff or had been give some. I really love the durability of this set. You can tell by holding any one of it that it is not cheap or cheaply made. I am looking forward to thanksgiving this year so i can show them off!

I’ve been using this silver wear for a couple of days because it’s really nice and I was happy to trade out my previous set for it. The flatware is surprisingly heavy, you can feel the quality in the weight and the pattern gives it a really nice tactile feel when using it. It’s also a large set with 40 pieces to fill my drawer and the size difference between the small and large spoons and forks is proportionate, my previous set has very large spoons and very small spoons but nothing in between. This set is rounded out nicely with everything you could need when it comes to flat wear. Overall this is a great set and it will fit nicely with any dècore.
