  • The PERFECT headlamp
The perfect headlamp. Very bright with a nice color. Rechargeable. Long running with variable dimming. And the best part is the quality of the beam: diffuse with no shadows or hot spots. I own 4.

  • Continued to fail. Left me stranded in dark three times.
Lots to like about this headlamp if it worked reliably. In order to charge the battery I learned I needed to remove it, wait ten seconds, then reinsert. I used it daily for one hour runs. Worked fine (less the battery issue) for a few weeks, then it began arbitrarily shutting down mid run (leaving me stranded in dark woods). Fully charged battery and even back up standard batteries and no combination of button pressing could bring the thing to life. Company needs to refine this thing. Stranded in the dark on trails three times with every type of trouble shooting imaginable = total fail of a product. ... show more

  • Don't Fall Off a Cliff
When I lived in a mountainous coastal area I used to go on runs at dusk after I clocked out of work. I would always get caught in the mountains at night. One day I came across a drunk dude and helped him back to safety. But then I saw a news report about how apparently there was some roaming rapist with a gun. So I thought maybe I should have a bright light with me, and also chirping on rocks in tree roots when you're running in pitch black darkness in a mountain at night is not fun. Also what's that noise in the bush over there? Is it a puma waiting to get me? Well now with this bright light: * people can't look at me at night because of the physical pain of the light shining in their eyes * I can see the sclera of mountain lions staring me down just before they leap and make me their meal * I stopped tripping on rocks and tree branches If you run in mountains at night I 500% recommend buying this or some other headlamp. Now I run mostly in the streets, and one of my favorite features about this particular headlamp is that it has a blinking LED on the back of your head. This means that cars are more likely to not run you over when they come up from behind you Also the battery lasts for several hours so you don't even need to charge it every run All in all this headlamp is great I'm glad I bought it ... show more

  • Works really well for a short time
It is OK. It worked well when I first bought it but 9 months in the rear light stopped turning on and off with the main light so I had to manage that separately (irritating and speaks to quality but not a big deal). Then a couple of weeks later it started running REALLY dim. I tried recharging the battery. No change. Drained the battery completely (took something like 26 hours which is impressive) and then charged again. No change. New battery, no change. Pretty pricey for a 9 month lifespan. I actually used it probably about 10 times. The previous headlamp I had worked for 5-10 years. ... show more

  • Failed after about 10 uses
Failed after about 10 uses over 11 months. Even in early uses, it would automatically dim after about 30 minutes, maybe to automatically preserve batter. It should have been a great product, but it was certainly not worth $80.
