  • Great product
My husband ordered this for hunting out of a tree stand and is very pleased. Good sturdy materials. Good price.

  • Perfect rappelling harness
This harness is comfortable and practical. I love how at the very front it is skinnier so it makes getting a carabiner on it very easy, especially if you are swtiching gear out on the rope for ascending or a rescue.

  • Four and a half stars
Bought this harness for general mountaineering, not anything really technical. It seems more comfortable than some other reviewers have reported, so I'm happy with that. It does require a large biner to compensate for the lack of a belay loop, but that seems to be no problem at all. I do generally prefer downward hanging gear loops, though that's not a huge deal. Lightweight and more compactible than a padded harness. I would give this four and a half stars if that was an option. ... show more

  • Lightweight and easy to put on over bulky gear. Not super comfortable.
I've used-and-abused my way through two of these and I'm buying another. It's a great harness if you need to put it on over bulky gear, it's much less "fiddly" that typical climbing harnesses. It's also quite lightweight, and packs down small. If you're using a figure-8 style descender, you can clip the carabiner directly to the harness and it sits in the right orientation "automatically" without need for extensions. Works great for rappelling. It's also quite durable, since it's basically just webbing and automatically lies flat against you. The downside is that there's zero padding, and it's not as comfortable as a typical climbing harness. I would not recommend this for typical sport/trad climbing situations where you're going to take falls on it or be hanging in it a lot. ... show more

  • Purchased for child (10) and love the fit, ease of use and general size range.
Color: No Color Size: X-Small
As I said, great harness, the style is open and wraps around very easily even with ski gear on and lots of layers. Range of size is awesome and went really small and clearly will work for years. This has a single metal part and the webbing and everything else are great quality.

  • Why a missing loop?
Color: No Color Size: Medium
It is a missing a loop that other harnesses have it the loop you take the buckle tbrough. I missed noting that from the pictures and how essential the loop is

  • Great for treestand hunting!
Use for safety harness in a treestand while bow hunting. Far superior option to the standard full body harness in both comfort and safety. Safer: I suspended myself in this to see how it felt and it honestly surprised me how comfortable it is hanging in it. I've done this with my old HSS and it was scary how uncomfortable and how unmaneuverable it felt in the hanging position. Also rock climbing harnesses can't cause suspension trauma like the full body style can. You hear alot of people talking about you flipping on your head and I just don't see how that could happen with the attachment point being where it is and keeping your tree rope taught while in the tree Sizing:I bought the XL and I'm generally a 36 waist and this fit just fine even over the top of first lite sanctuary bibs which are quite thick. Wear/comfort: VERY easy to put on. I just fasten the waist belt then flip the caribiner thru my legs and hook it to my front belt and clip the 2 buckle straps. Once in you can hardly tell it's there. It's so nice not having to deal with the strap coming up your neck or thru the safety harness hole. This also means the strap is out of your way for shooting. Tiny: It also packs down into nothing and weighs nothing. It barely takes up any room in my tote I would recommend to anyone I know to ditch the bulky full body harnesses and make the switch. These are superior in every way! ... show more

  • Made for speed, not for comfort
As the title states, if you are unaware of this type of design, here's a quick heads up. This is an alpine style harness. The leg loop is connected to the waist band and pulled back up to the waist band in a loop. There is no padding at all. Short explanation of what happens is that this is for light-weight, speed of climbing, and for safety. Should you take a fall or need to sit in it at your full weight, you will realise this very quickly as your "business" will possibly get a pinch or at the least put a dent in your bottom. This is a nice piece of inexpensive safety gear and as long as you are not using this to sit around all day redoing bolts in a big wall will work just fine. The clip style leg loops make getting in and out of this one pretty easy, even over bulky clothing since you don't have to "climb" into this rig. Good, solid product. Just don't hang dog in it. ... show more
