Very pleasantly surprised by the high quality of this toolbox. The price is honestly too low for this level of quality, but I’m not complaining!! It is made of a thicker plastic, so it feels very durable. The clear plastic containers on the lid latch very tightly, unlike some of the others I have purchased. It seems like this will last a long time. Plenty of room for all my hand tools I need, and it looks awesome as well. Overall, very much worth my money, I would 100% purchase again!!

The durable plastic tool box weighs 3 pounds and 0.3 ounces. It is 16.375 x 7.5 x 8.25 inches on the outside overall. The interior of the tool box without the tray is 15.3125 x 6.0 x 5.25 inches. The handle is 5.0 x 2.25 x 0.625 inches. The interior space of the handle where you fingers grab the handle is 3.4375 x 1.0625 inches. The handle lies flat inside the top of the lid. The handle is not ergonomic and is not uncomfortable to hold. The closure clamps are pushed down to secure the lid shut. They do not have a dual fold catch lock. The lid extends up 1.125 inches. Lid compartments (inches): #2 at 3.1875 x 2.5625 x 0.625 #4 at 1.5 x 1.875 x 0.625 #1 at 4.8125 x 0.875 x 0.625 The left and right lid compartment covers when open do not lock in place or rock backwards. Therefore, they are falling forward when trying to put anything in or out of the compartments, which is a disadvantage. The lids clamp shut by pushing down on them. The tray hangs down 1.375 inches into the tool box. The handle space of the tray where you put your fingers is 4.125 x 1.25. The handle is not ergonomic or the most comfortable. The tray compartments are shallow compared to the actual 1.3125 inch depth of the inside of the tray. Tray compartments (inches): #2 at 11.125 x 2.125 x 0.8125 #2 at 6.625 x 1.75 x 0.8125 I got the tool box for organization to put smaller electronic tools inside of a multi meter [B0FKSH5F85], wood tester [B0FN655YKN], laser level [B0DCBP9C9G], 2 humidity temperature detectors [B0F4XJCJ5N and B01CY29RCI] , gas detector [B0DX25DQZ9], jump starter with air compressor [B0FGX9HH8K], and etcher [B0DXPJFYKP]. Holding all of them is value added for the expense. I took the tray out to accommodate them all. I may even be able to put a few more inside depending on their size. The raised lid allows an extra 1.125 inches of height, which is an advantage. The lid compartments are very small, especially the middle one. I don't think I will get much use out of them, maybe extra batteries.

Finally, no more chasing my tools around the garage LMAO. This toolbox is legit. I’ve dropped it once (oops), and it’s still solid. Everything actually stays where it should. 10/10, would def recommend.

This Black Canyon 17-inch tool box looks functional at first, but the quality is extremely disappointing. The plastic feels thin and brittle, and the whole thing flexes when picked up, even when it’s not fully loaded. It claims to support up to 44 lbs, but I wouldn’t trust it with half that weight. The latches and hinges feel like they could snap off at any moment, and the handle doesn’t inspire much confidence either. It’s more like a toy than an actual tool box, completely lacking the durability you’d expect for workshop or job site use. Overall, it’s a cheaply made product with zero longevity. Definitely not worth buying if you need a reliable storage solution for real tools.

I bought this to store electrical outlets and switches in the bed of my truck. After the first rain I discovered that it leaks. Everything inside got wet. If you’re purchasing this for exterior use and need the contents to stay dry this tool box is not for you.

THIS... Is the black canyon 17 inch plastic toolbox, a small to mid size toolbox that allows you to easily take small things with you. When orginizing this toolbox, it is hard to really fit anything too large... so certainly no powertools in the bottom compartment. I was able to use this the most effectivly for keeping a lot of my small things together, and the top flip up compartments are secure enough to hold screws without worrying about them going missing. The case while light is pretty durable. I dropped this case almost instantly after setting it up and it really took no dammage, and didn't pop open or anything funky. Overlal, this is a really good value for the functionality it offers, though if you want to have a true mobile tool box for around the house... id get something bigger.

It latches easily and securely. It has compartments on the top for smaller hardware and a lift out tray for convenient transport of screwdrivers and smaller tools. We got the 17-inch box that will be good for a closet tool box. It also has an integrated eye for padlocks if wanted. The price is good for a comparable quality and size tool box.
